Update: the club got back to me and said if I got there a little before 12, we should be fine, even though they don’t take reservations.
As I said in my earlier post, we absolutely do not have to go there! I just wanted to give us the option.
I am now bowing out of organizing this, because that sort of thing is not my forte!
I think the Harvard Club restaurant is a great idea. It sounds like there is something for everyone. Do they have a served menu also, or just the buffet?
And if you are the one to get there early, you can’t really bow out! I am usually early for things also, and can meet you, if needed.
Do we have a tentative date? And time?
Apologies if I’m intruding, but I came across this thread and wanted to chime in to say that the Harvard Club is great. I was just there a couple of weeks ago for a business meeting.

Yes, there is another dining room with (pricier) a la carte menu items. But snce the club member will have everything put on his tab, I thought that differing amounts was way too complicated; this way everyone pays the same amount and can venmo me. I still need to find out if tax/tip is included in the prix fixe amount.
I don’t use Venmo. Will there be some other way to pay?

I would prefer a Tuesday or Thursday but I can make any date work with sufficient advance planning.
Not that I recall. @HImom said she may be in NYC in March which is a good-enough reason to pick that month. @HImom do you know when you’ll know your dates?
I would prefer later March if possible if March it is. We’ll be in Australia and New Zealand until mid-March. If early March is what works for most people, I’ll miss it but obviously it should be what’s best for the majority.
In 2025, Easter and Passover will both be in April.
When will cbreeze be there? And what dates in March work. Seems like some folks will be available at the beginning of the month and some later.
Just pick a date! Hopefully the majority can come.
Tuesdays are generally better for me than Thursdays but can try to make either work with notice. I’ll know more about my schedule for the spring in a couple of weeks so don’t plan around me.
And agree that the Harvard Club sounds perfect and a price-fixed lunch would make things easy.

I just want to make sure you’re available! Some want to set a date ASAP but we can change it if something comes up making the selected date unworkable for many. I am happy to put something on my Google calendar but of course I can move it around.
