@newyorkeratheart I never saw that email maybe it wasn’t sent to me? Well whatever I’ll find out whenever I find out :)

I want to go to NYU so badly, but if it’s more than 42K then ehhhhhh :/

I applied to NYU (ED), Fordham, Northeastern, Brown, Harvard, Emory, and some safeties. Yes, I will take NYU (at a reasonable price) over Ivies any day of the week.

I applied to University of Pittburgh (accepted and 2nd choice), Goucher, Albany, Stony Brook, and Northeastern!

@ericajordan check your spam, it was in there for a lot of applicants!

I applied EA to Northeastern, UMass- Amherst (accepted), Case Western, Ohio State, and Pratt Institute.

I actually think decisions will be sent on the 12th, @NYUFan101, if they do they’ll probably notify us by monday or tuesday at the latest.

We expect that all admission decisions will be sent via email on December 15th after 5pm (Eastern Standard Time) for Early Decision I candidates and on February 15 after 5pm for Early Decision II candidates.

^ That is the message on albert

Ya. Sometimes they run ahead of schedule though. I sure hope it’s the 12th. We should know more soon.

Okay so my theory behind all of this is:

They thought that they would me finished atound 12th, so they changed the date on Albert. BUT! Shawn didnt post anything about that. Seemed suspicious to me until they changed it back to 15th. Still, Shawn didnt post anything.

SO. Now, the date on Albert is 15th, same as last year. Last year, they did it on 13th. This year, they might do it on 12th (since this date was mentioned on Albert) and Shawn just has to post about it - and Albert changes.

Now, i think: they arent supposed to officially change the day (on Albert) before announcements, but they’ve already made the choices or planning to make the choices till 12th and will announce by 12th. Why didnt Shawn post about that? It changed almost 3 weeks before the decision day, too early for it to be a surprise for everyone.

And then again, why would they change the date - i dont think that in 3 days they will be making crucial decisions, because it’s been 5 weeks and (i read somewhere, probably not too correct) around 3’500 applicants.

Now, either Shawn tells us about the change (what happened last year) and “surprizes” us that its on the 12th, OR the date just stays 15th, which doesnt seem likely to me.

let’s hope

If I don’t get into NYU, my other options are BU, USC, U of Minnesota, Colorado College, Claremont McKenna, Franklin and Marshall… and Babson and Agnes Scott as safety.

If I don’t get into NYU, my other options are BC, USC, Brandeis, U of Rochester, and maybe Cornell

If i dont grt into NYU i dont want to go anywhere :(

Hey I got a change in Financial Aid. But the award year is 2016, what does that mean? Im an international student from Indonesia

@umhhnervousone also, the 12th is a friday, and 15th is a monday. So I doubt that the admissions would work during the weekend. Seems weird to me tbh.

Seems a lot of applicants applying to USC, Northeastern, Fordham, and Umich

Dude It happened to me too. I emailed them about this and their exact words are “If you are being deferred, you’ll be notified on Dec.15th of that decision”. I thought NYU always give concrete yes or no to all ED applicants…
