I JUST got the FA change! I am still skeptical of whether it means something or not, but hopefully it’s a good sign!

me 2 i just got the fa change!

Not to get anyone’s hopes up, but someone in the Facebook group who had the FA change just got a call from an NYU coach saying “Congratulations!”. Hopefully it’s a really good sign!

@NYUFan101 could you message me the facebook group? I’d love to be a part of it!

^^^ yea and in case anyone was curious, she had “no self-service available” instead of “no award access”

mines been stuck in time… 2016 no self service for 2 weeks now lol. I wish it would change to “no award access” soon

@Jarjarbinks23 I had thought that nobody had the “2016 no award access” message. Mine just changed from “no award access available” to “2016 no self service”. I thought that that was the only FA change people have gotten?

@ericajordan wait what… you had the “no award access available” BEFORE the “no self service”?

So confused now

A few pages back, some people got a “no award access available” tab on their FA. But Im not sure if it had 2016 next to it, or if it came AFTER the “no self service access”

Also, I was accepted to Indiana University, which uses the same system as NYU, and my FA Status for them says “2016 No self-service access for this aid year”…

@jarjarbinks before I got the FA change, my FA said “no award access available” with no year whatsoever, without a chart or anything.
The no award access available was the first message to show up when everyone made their portal…then it switched to 2016 no self service access.

Yes, people will either have the following…

No award access available – means no change
2015 New York University No award access available — means either a summer program or idk
2016 New York University No Self Service – means FA change

https://www.facebook (dot) com/groups/1471647649750544/ Try this for the group. You have to request access, and some admin will grant it.

@jarjarbinks to clarify: PRE FA change, your screen will simply show “award access unavailable”
However, if you receive the FA change, it will change to a little table with the first column saying 2016, the second saying New York University, and the third saying “no self service aid access…”
If you have this table with this message, you have the famous FA change. Award access unavailable is not something to want

Hey guys, pardon my ignorance lol, but what’s an NYU coach? Never heard of that before now . :-/

@123jove Like the coach of a sport’s team at NYU.

@xim0204 Ohhh! Thanks for that clarification !

has anyone ever heard of anyone getting an FA change 1-2 days before the decision comes out

are people still getting the FA change?

@NYUgirl10 yeah people get the change right up until the night before :)

@NYUgirl10 yes, I just got mine today!
