******NYU Class of 2020 RD Discussion******

Has anyone’s Albert reflected your admission status? According to the Decision Day blog post: “We will make decisions available online through our NYU Albert student information system on Monday, April 4, or you can call us by phone on Monday and we will release your decision then.”

Did anyone acceppted to LSP receive financial aid offers, particularly, grants?

Do u need to apply for any of these scholarships or r they just given out on a merit-based bases???

I’m sorry if this question has been answered already, but are NYU scholarships renewable for all four years, or are they just offered for the first year?

Thanks!

@nubbie I called today and my scholarships (stern and zegar diamond) are renewable !!

@jorjimarie Ok thank you so much!

@snapapp : i was able to access my electronic decision letter through Albert yesterday. Try accessing it today

@090909 i got into LSP and got $4,900 scholarship/aid (i forgot what they called it)

My daughter got into GLS (her first choice) with a 24370 LS Scholarship. Wondering if she can change majors and keep her scholarship, though.

Does anyone know how to waive the student health insurance fee. We are from CA and have Kaiser. Is there some kind of reciprocity agreement with Kaiser? Thank you!

@lanouvellevague Awesome! I still can’t seem to find it. Which tab is it under?

Hello, how do you check for merit scholarships?

Accepted to GLS(first choice) as an international student. GPA: 3.2(have a D in one class) SAT: 1930 My essay kinda killed it, good recommendations and extra curriculars. I was a very active student and a community member. Took a gap year after high school. NYU also held an alumni interview with me. I rocked it as well. However, I did not recieve any scholarships. Debating whether I should pay 71k+ Per year for 4 years at NYU. We are not the wealthiest but we can manage somehow. What must I dooo!!! Im wondering if I can find ways to lessen my tuition and expenses during sophomore, junior, senior years.

@“Mrs Madesclaire” - According to NYU, they would give you a scholarship, if they like you and want you to attend NYU; at the same time the scholarship amount will be based on the CSS Profile and FAFSA filed.

If they did not offer much scholarship, it could mean a couple of things:

  • Either your EFC is high - you make a good chunk as stated in your tax returns
  • Or they like the student but not enough to offer a scholarship

@snapapp if you’re still looking, it’s under the “application status” tab. click on admission decision once you click on status.

Did anyone get an email about the President Honors Scholars Program? I just got one an hour ago and was wondering what that meant (apart from what was already stated in the email)

does this mean i get a scholarship im broke

@sungjong I received the email but did not previously receive a scholarship - very confused.

I also received that email, but I don’t think it implies a scholarship
