Relieved.
Thanks it says New York summer 2016
please note that ed 2 people that were rejected and had freshman ALL never had theirs switch back to nonrenewable undergrad when all of ours changed in early march. however, ours switched back to freshman. so i would say that it DID mean something, because there were way too many results that correlated with it. if you want to know more about it, message me so i can explain a little better.
HOWEVER, i will add that this round seems to be unique in all its changes - so it may have been fixed. i wouldn’t bank on anything, but for people to say it never meant anything after we have had years of evidence that it does is ridiculous and untrue.
@WealdstoneRaider FA change is NOT your best bet. it has been fixed for a year.
Whats FA change?
@Garyguy909 doesn’t matter. it has been fixed, and i assume the housing change has been fixed as well. (but the housing change used to be the best bet)
Oh, so, you’re saying that, if now someone is stated as freshman, it doesn’t mean anything? @pizzaandpeonies
Since it has been fixed?
@Garyguy909 no, that’s not what i’m saying. i’m saying that the people that were rejected last round and had freshman did not have theirs switch back like everyone elses who had freshman before did. however, all of ours (who had freshman) did change to freshman again after that time in early march. does that make sense? it’s a bit hard to explain but check out our ED 2 forum and you’ll understand.
what i’m trying to say is the housing change did mean something, and was a very strong indicator.
@pizzaandpeonies, even if you are correct, I just don’t see any value of your point because facts and circumstances is not the same as a final decision. Speculation can only carry you so far…
@rocky789 oh definitely! i’m not saying to bank on it, because i never did. it may have been fixed anyway. it just kind of annoys me when i see people post that it never meant anything, because it certainly did
wise words @rocky789
fact of the matter is this: housing change did mean something for us in ED rounds. will it matter now? nobody truly knows until decision day. you can choose to continuously check it or not - but it won’t really matter until you get your decision.
Everyones stating their opinions out here, non of us are a part of the admissions committee. These are just assumptions, you may say that an individual who it said freshman for once, got accepted. However, there have been a series of instances where an individual has been rejected whilst his/her housing says “freshman”. I get what you’re trying to say, what you’re trying to say is, it does certainly does have a meaning, while there is no fact to prove it. Hence, it has no meaning, in my opinion. This is a thread, not everyones going to have the same opinions as one another.

@Garyguy909 also, this isn’t an opinion - i’m literally just stating what happened to us lol
ANYWAYS, i hope the housing change got fixed so all this housing stress can end for everyone. good luck to all of you! i hope you’ll be able to join the other ED people and i in the NYU class of 2020
Are you an EDII applicant or RD applicant? @pizzaandpeonies
The link you just sent was brilliant!
@Garyguy909 i was accepted ED II.
