NYU Spring 2018 Transfer Thread

@nyu127789 u just got the change? there are cases in previous years where people are rejected. but so far only one person got the change thats rejected.

@catherinesc88 yeah I got the financial aid change monday but I haven’t had any other changes since

Rejected

Rejected w/ 3.5 GPA. Applied to Mechanical Engineering program through a program at my current college (Brooklyn College) which said I should be “guaranteed” with a 3.5+ GPA. Beyond sad, but I guess this is for the best. Good luck to everyone else! I had to send my transcript to Tandon 3 times, really irresponsible on someone’s end.

Rejected from Tandon as well!

rejected from tandon

Also rejected from tandon

accepted and not going lol i already committed to BU

Damn… this was not what I was expecting

Jesus…

Wow I’m speechless try again for fall? I honestly don’t know what they r looking for. Said before tandon is getting really hard to get into

Isit really rolling in admission? Isingh did u apply early?

U guys r all excellent students it’s their lost and we will all have a good future regardless. Don’t give up and work towards your goals!
@ajb1103 tandon is really trying to raise their standard to world level because it doesn’t have good reputation compared to other NYU schools. If u applied 2 or even 1 year ago u might still be accepted. But now I’m just really confused on what they really look for. But damn I thought me sending in twice is bad enough lol.

@catherinesc88 I really applied as it being a reach college since I was trying to transfer from a community college. For spring, I believe admissions are based off of how many students changed their major from a specific program/withdrew. With NYU having such a high retention rate, there were probably a slim number of spots available to begin with for each major. Try not to be discouraged! Better things are coming

Anybody with a EFC of $0 or close to that got a financial aid package already? I want some ideas. I’m still waiting on mine to commit. I will accept the offer as long as I only have to take 20-30k out of pocket every year. HELP ANYONE

Same boat as you. E-mailed the financial aid office a bunch of times and still no response.

@lorenzolefevre you also have a $0 EFC? I ran the Net calculator; although transfer student should not use it. My net price was $25k a year. I wonder how far off will it be considering the NYU net price calculator is only for freshman students.

Does anyone know how to access our NYU email and is there a facebook page for accepted students. I was accepted to SPS today and plan on dorming in the spring. Also, if anyone knows when the housing deposit is due it would be much appreciated.

@nyu127789 When did you get accepted? I’m still waiting to hear

@caffeinated6 I got accepted this morning
