@catherinesc88 Nope. I literally applied an hour before the deadline.
Anyone else still waiting for their financial aid lol
@washingtonsqpark waiting for a decision!! lol
I am @washingtonsqpark. I called them and they said that they started processing it and I’ll be available at the end of the week.
Just confirming, there is an orientation correct?
@EconDon23 yes sir! Have you been contacted by an advisor yet? My orientation date is the 19th!
Also, for those unaware, we are required to take a writing proficiency exam on orientation day. This is to satisfy your Expository Writing core requirement.
No I have not! @washingtonsqpark Tomorrow, I am going to pay the enrollment fee and submit the housing application. What are the next steps?
@EconDon23 oh, I see; you haven’t paid the enrollment deposit yet.
I paid the enrollment deposit on the 9th.
On the 11th, I was contacted about setting up my NYU email.
On the 12th, I got an email about completing the External Transfer Advising Portal.
"Set aside 30 minutes. This portal will ask you to supply some basic information about yourself, your academic background and interests as well as allow you to start thinking about your first semester courses at CAS. The portal also includes a presentation on the general requirements for your CAS degree including the Core Curriculum courses that each CAS student has to complete before graduation. Please complete the portal within a week of receiving this email. After you complete the portal, you will be contacted by a CAS academic advisor within 2 weeks. They will guide you through the registration process and help you shape your time at CAS. "
The very next day, on the 13th, I was emailed by my advisor and we’ve been in contact ever since.
I did not apply for housing since I live nearby, so I don’t know what the next steps are for housing applicants.
Sounds good, by tuition deposit, you mean the enrollment fee, correct? @washingtonsqpark I can’t wait for orientation too. Did you receive anything regarding the housing application?
@EconDon23 yeah, man. The 500 beans.
ok hey im creeping on this thread and i literally need someone in journalism to lmk how their scheduling worked out
Anyone receive their acceptance packet??
And BTW, any computer science/mathematics majors here?
Anyone else annoyed that most classes are full? I have the worst schedule I have ever had. I also am shocked that these classes are spread over 3 days. Huge let down.
I just got my financial aid package and it’s actually horrible. I’m pretty sure they completely left out my FAFSA.
@washingtonsqpark define horrible? Also, how did you make out with scheduling your classes?
@Dreamer2020 $10,000 out-of-pocket each semester horrible. I have yet to schedule classes but will start tonight.
Have any of you guys met with your advisors in person?
Also, has anyone else also not been billed for the semester yet? My account says that I only owe something like $9000 for housing.
