Honestly, that is so unfair. So much effort and wait. They should really give out some aid. Like even a few thousand dollars would help. But, 80k a year does not make any sense. However , I really hope things work out for you

yeah!!! i think it’s because only certain community colleges are associated with it. I think it’s pretty much almost every New York community college, but yeah not many people know about it. i wasn’t notified about it until my community college sent us an email about the virtual meeting
Hi guys! I got accepted by NYU CAS political science4 days ago! Iam an international student from China, now studying in BU. I major COM in BU, but gapped the 2020 fall semester, which means I don’t have university GPA yet (though I’m pretty sure I will get all A this term after final). Here are my stats.
SAT: 1510
TOEFL: 112
AP: Macro-5, Micro-4, Environmental Science-5, Physics C Mechanics-4
SAT2: Chemistry-800, Math 2-800, World History-720
IB: Chinese A SL-6, Math HL-7, Chemistry HL-6, Bio HL-5, Economics SL-6, English B SL-7
Extracurricular activities: 3 years of Student Gov President, intern in law firms for 2 months, club leader of Literature club, IHBB silver prize in national level competition, author of two books (literature pieces & political reviews) in HK…
High School GPA: weighted 4.18 (ranked 6th out of 80)
University GPA: (will be 4.0) now unavailable

Hi there,
We should usually hear back by May end, max mid-June. That’s when I heard last time as well (June 12th if I remember correctly). Wrt the checklist, I totally understand the worry, there is an external transfer here who had their checklist disappear 2ish weeks ago. Mine hasn’t yet (considering how fast it vanished last time and the type of decision I got, I’m really worried this year). But who knows. Let us just be positive about this.

Do portal changes occur on weekends. And aren’t offices closed on weekends??
Usually they happen Friday night from what I’ve seen, but it also might just be a delayed response to changes made during the day on Friday

I saw them as early as 4 days prior in years past and as close as an hour before the decision (acceptance) come out. I think this year some of the accepted kids saw changes in FA/COA the day before or morning of decision.

If anyone sees the update application info button (or something like that) disappear that seemed to precede decisions by a day or two.
