NYU Transfer Fall 2021

same here!

@Melody1234: Not quite. I have the right to wait to hear from every college I applied to, just like everyone else. I don’t have evidence of acceptance or rejection, and I don’t have evidence of NYU’s FA offer. The problem isn’t students waiting to hear back and covering all of their options. The problem is how this system is designed and having to wait this long to make decisions.

I already start taking summer classes in another school :joy:  I will withdraw if NYU accepts me

Same, I registered 2 summer classes at my current school but not sure if I can still take them because of transferring :joy:

When you guys call, what do you ask? For an update on your application?

You also paid the money to apply. Don’t worry. I fully understand wanting to hear back even if you are uncertain whether you want to go or not. Other people’s acceptances/rejections isn’t your responsibility.

My advice is to not call. They don’t tell you anything. It’s just more anxiety to deal with. But maybe you might get lucky and they might tell you something

is it bad to call them & say I need to commit to a university by june 1st ? now that I say that I feel like it’s a bit greedy idk

I called they said that my application is under review and a decision has not been made yet and that I should get a decision by the end of the month. I don’t think that’s a good sign.

they say that crap to everyone lol. they tell me this everyday I call lol.

its not a bad or good sign, it is a default one. The person on the phone most likely does not know what they are talking about but they just want to shut us up so they can get on to the next caller and say the same thing. In reality I think our best bet is to hope for the best and wait till june 1st at this point it is only 10 days away lol.

they seriously need to be more clear with us. if I get accepted, especially if it’s for the study abroad program I need to get a visa & everything which takes 90-100 days to complete

some schools do allow for an early read and then you can request a leaning on your decision
i’m not sure if nyu honors this, but since you have a legit reason, i don’t see the harm in trying

if you decide to do this i would recommend calling the office and asking if there is a regional AO assigned to your application who knows the status and is able to accommodate your request

New to this thread.* Although my question does not follow the current conversation, but did anyone else have NYU admission officers look at their LinkedIn profile? I had administration searching and looking at my profile last week, however, I have not received a decision yet. Notably, my checklist and buttons have disappeared about two weeks after I submitted my application last month. However, like many, I have yet to hear back.

do yall think its okay to upload final spring grades into the portal? i was thinking of submitting my unofficial transcript

Omg about time to download linkedIn again i haven’t looked at it since i was 16

You’re honestly right, and the system is so opaque when it comes to this.

Yeah im gonna submit mine too i don’t think they would hurt anything

forsure im thinking the same, ty!
