wait how do you know that they looked up your linkedin
Haha, it wouldn’t hurt! I am unsure if it is bc the program that I applied to is quite small.
im pretty sure you get notified when someone looks at your LinkedIn, but not sure if it shows the name or anything unless they have an account
Goodluck to uuu. Just followed nyu there loll
has any external stern applicant received a decision yet? because i still haven’t
I have Linkedin premium (for several reasons lol, primarily for work contacts). Normally, if you have the basic account, you should receive a weekly update on the company and work titles of those who viewed your account.
Im stern and nope but i think two people heard back or one im not sure but it was acceptance
Thank you! You too!
i saw someone on here receive a stern decision maybe 2-3 weeks ago and they said they declined iirc
i think they are rolling out extremely slowly so i would not worry and lots of ppl on this thread are still waiting as well
They declined? does that mean more spots for us?
ya im like 70% sure they declined lol and i also know someone who is transferring out of stern for another school in fall 21 hahah
Ooouu i hope they are all happy doing that because I would feel bad to take someone’s spot (lol why am i acting like i already got accepted)
yea im sure they are otherwise they wouldnt have gone thru this pain of applications haha but u are so sweet
omg yes i had that two i was questioning that wthhhh i had two of them
i had that too ^
How did you find out they checked it? Is there anywhere i can provide my LinkedIn link but idk where
i hope decisions come out tomorroww
Same here. I really hope I can get into NYU. There hasn’t been a single school that I have dreamt more about attending than NYU. If I don’t get in this year (After my third time submitting an application to them), I think I am done. At that point, I dont think NYU would ever take me
Just a side question: So you never dreamed of getting into IVY/IVY+???
Never! I applied for Tisch Drama as my major. Ever since I was ten years old, I have been acting in film and television (including short film projects with current NYU students at the film for their thesis films). After experiencing they way they told stories and how welcoming the students were at NYU, it left an impact on me that I have cherished to this day. There is nothing Harvard, Princeton, or Yale could do that would ever make me relive an experience like that again. I felt like I finally belonged somewhere.
