<p>Is there like a “typical” number of pages semifinalists have with their report?</p>
<p>Do they disqualify you if you put your name and date in a header, but didn’t put any references to yourself in the actual body of the research paper?</p>
<p>@cthulukiller001 I think they do. They explicitly said not to put any personal information in the report at all, even in the file name. Sorry, but those were the rules. </p>
<p>@cthulukiller001 I would email them as soon as possible! I did that and explained my mistake to them, and they said it was okay and would have no negative impact. They would just erase your name from the research report.</p>

<p>I applied for the Siemens Competition…will semifinalists and regional finalists be notified on the same day (Oct. 16th) or will regional finalists have to wait till Oct. 20th? Or are the regional finalists picked from the semifinalists?</p>
<p>@adrenalinegirl Semifinalists are announced on the 16th and regional finalists on the 20th. And regional finalists are selected from the pool of semifinalists I’m pretty sure</p>

<p>for people wondering about confirmation emails, I’d called the line when I submitted and they said no confirmation email would be sent.
on a side note, I’m pretty nervous and really just wanna know because I think I wrote a decent paper, but its my first time submitting so I don’t know what caliber most papers are at a high school competition.</p>
