**OFFICIAL CAL POLY SLO CLASS of 2019 Regular Decision** Thread

@tlhs2015 She has 3.8 GPA; 1170 R+M SAT; max EC’s. Best of luck to you!

Any acceptance from Ag - Food Science today??

@mammaricco‌ we have About the same stats! Good luck to her as well (:

My daughter is rec admin and has not heard yet

My daughter was just accepted today at around 1:30!! She applied as a Business Admin but was accepted as History, which was her second choice. Her stats: 3.75 UW, 4.22 weighted, 2010 SAT, lots of AP classes. I guess it’s true that acceptances are still going out!

Since TTFOSS daughter was accepted under her second major maybe they are going though by hand now to see if when changed to the 2nd major the stats of the person will allow them to be accepted. If they are doing that, that is great for everyone with a 2nd major that is not quite as congested as their first major choice.

How many people get off of the waitlist?

Hi guys. I’m an aerospace engineering major and I haven’t heard back yet. I know one of my friends got accepted into engineering at CP Slo so far and a lot of other people at my school have gotten into other majors such as biology and kinseology. What is up with this? Hasn’t CPS sent out almost all the admissions acceptances already and only waitlist and rejections will be on portals from now on? Correct me if I’m wrong.

I’m not willing to give up hope yet @kangaroo19…only a few people have heard back from my son’s school, and they are not engineering majors. My son is pretty competitive and has not heard back yet for engineering. Something seems “off” this year with the way acceptances are being handled. Don’t give up just yet…

Applied as business administration, accepted as my second choice City and Regional Planning. My CSU GPA is 4.15 my SAT out of 1600 was 1230 and my ACT was 27. Good luck to everyone!

D got acceptance email last night. Yay!! Admitted to Orfalea Business as Econ major. 3.79 Cal State GPA. 1910 SAT. 9 AP’s, 3 Honors. Math II 760. AP Calc, 5. Son is current graduate student, microbiology. Loves the school.

Also remember just because you know someone that got into a certain major and they have lower stats than you that does not mean anything. Each major is evaluated separately so while some are easy to get into some are very very hard and it probably varies from year to year especially in the majors that do not accept a ton of kids.

@kangaroo19 and 1337MOM, on Monday, February 23, In-State Engineering acceptances were reported on this thread from almost all departments. The first In-State Aerospace Engineering acceptance was reported on Friday a week ago, after the OOS Engineering acceptances were reported. Then on Monday the rest of the In-State engineering majors were being reported in this order: Biomedical, Civil, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical, Industrial, Materials, and Mechanical). As the threads began to be posted, it was determined that the College of Engineering was releasing the acceptances in the order I listed above, alphabetically by major.

All of the threads reported that they DID NOT receive an email but rather that they checked the portal and saw the “Congratulations” message. Yesterday, some people who were accepted reported that they received an email confirming their acceptance–so three days after the portal was updated.

i called Cal Poly Slo today, and they said that they are sending acceptances and rejections at the same time and that they’ve had so many applicants that they will not be done with decisions until April 1.

@Arriba‌, do you believe that they are done accepting engineers?

I honestly believe all engineers are done so start looking at other schools. Sorry to be blunt.

Received the same information from Admissions that they are still sending out acceptances - not a good sign that they had so many applicants! Anyone else hear anything else about acceptance??

Acceptances are still being made! Son’s friend was accepted for Architecture yesterday. Please do not give up hope. My son applied ED and was accepted for ME. No change, however, for his friends who applied for Engineering.

Holding out hope!

Anyone who has any insight as to when the acceptance’s will cease and the wait list or rejections will start?

@SantaClarita‌

Last year acceptances stopped March 7ish and rejections came out the 10th. Since acceptances started coming out 2/19 as opposed to last year’s 2/14, we still have some time left.
