is yours signed by Theodore l spencer? anyway i know this is the good one from past years, so you can argue it all you want but it is the truth.

metschick… GOOD ONE!!!

lindsy I hope your right!

@lindsy if that’s the case I guess I got the good one, it said te same thing about me having something uniquely valuable and had a 1215 time stamp. I just am not convinced by your evidence that this is the case and don’t wanna get my hopes up but I really wanna go here.

The school specific ones like Kinesiology and Nursing don’t mention grades. LSA does mention grades. Big woop.

thats incorrect. my friend applied to lsa and got the same letter i did.

yea not buying the good email bad email. Kinseology probally has different emails from LSA

Seems like this is a good one? Someone help…

Thank you for your application to the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts for Fall 2012. We are pleased that you have applied and are impressed with your achievements. However, our high application volume, coupled with the very strong credentials of our applicants in recent years, has contributed to an increasingly competitive admissions process. As a result, we are writing to inform you that your application is currently being deferred for further review.

While this is not the answer that you were hoping to hear, it is still good news. Your application is one of a group that remains under consideration. All final admissions decisions of admit, deny, or waitlist will be made no later than mid-April, 2012.

Please refer to the website [Information for Deferred Students | University of Michigan Office of Admissions](http://www.admissions.umich.edu/deferred) for FAQs about the admission process and what to do next. Strong fall semester or second trimester grades may improve your status in the deferred pool of applicants. Therefore, please ask your high school counselor to forward your fall semester or second trimester grades when they become available.

Because you are in this select group, we hope your interest in Michigan continues, and we will keep you informed of our progress. You have our best wishes for an enjoyable and successful end of your senior year.

Sincerely,

Theodore L. Spencer
Associate Vice Provost and Executive Director

believe what you want guys. my friend got the same email i did from LSA

That’s impossible seeing as an lsa one won’t say “Your application will be re-evaluated, and a final decision will be made based on how your credentials, academic achievements, and interest demonstrated in an area of Literature, Science and Arts as a career contribute to the composition and quality of this year’s freshman applicant pool.” So obviously it’s not the same.

well they may have worded that differently, but they did not ask for semester grades.

Everyone deferred, has your WA changed to ask for 7th semester grades?

I can settle this: good=you’ve been accepted. bad=you’ve been deferred. good=welcome to heaven. bad=welcome to purgatory.

nope mine doesnt have anything about 7th semester grades

Is this a good one or bad one? I applied to LSA*

Mine doesn’t either? Which letter did you get out of curiosity?

the same one as darkcraft

sigh im sure we will all get in
so many people are withdrawing their apps

I think if it asks for your grades in the 1st paragraph, it’s not the good one.
If BigEast is still here… does your username reference a certain band? >.>’’ Or someone in that band…?

i also got deffered

when you go to the page on the Michigan website about being deffered, it says:
“What can I do to improve my chances?
If there’s any additional information or accomplishments you think we should know about you, we encourage you to send that to us. Also, make sure to keep your grades up and have your counselor send us your fall semester grades as soon as they’re available.” ([Information for Deferred Students | University of Michigan Office of Admissions](http://www.admissions.umich.edu/deferred))

so i’m assuming everyone needs to send the most recent grades, no matter what letter you have.

this was my letter for LSA:
