Also @Stanford, stop using profanities. If you’re as smart as your stats indicate, you should be able to express yourself just fine without them.

And everybody, THERE IS NO GOOD/BAD deferral. Stop overanalyzing. you’re killing yourself. EVERYONE has to send in 7th semester grades, including accepted students. @lindsey stop telling others who’s going to get in first from the deferred group, you don’t know, the only people who do are on the admissions staff.

guys don’t worry. last year, kids started getting in even a few days after they got their deferral email because spots opened up ( from the ED kids withdrawing their apps i guess ). look on the 2015 thread. i’m guessing that this is how UM admissions will do it this year too.

If you haven’t heard anything as of yet, then you may have been flat out rejected.

Michigan is releasing by decisions, which is sad. Accepted students got their email on Friday, Deferred students got their emails today, and Rejected will be Monday.

StanfordCS it could very well be the Supplemental essay that did you in. If you didn’t make it seem like UM was at the top of your list, they may have seen you as somebody using them as a safety. Have you applied to any Ivies and gotten in?

If you havn’t heard anything, check wolverine access. My “View Decision” link has been uploaded and it works. I would think that they wouldnt do this according to the emails sent out, but everyone at once.

That is where UM dropped the ball, they said the App Status link would be down until all the decisions have been released. But as Stewta4 said, if you can see View Decision when you go to you App Status, then one of 2 things happened. 1) you were Accepted or 2) you were rejected. Deferrals don’t see the link, we only get email. I don’t mean to be negative, but it really does seem as if UM did it by decision, which is terrible. If you haven’t heard yet… best of luck.

I applied to Stanford and got rejected. I have since applied to Duke, UChicago, Harvard, Princeton, and Yale. Also, I have already been accepted to in-state schools.

I still haven’t heard anything. I’d be pretty damn surprised if I was flat out rejected. I think there will be more acceptances, defers and rejections released over the next week.

@StanfordCS…don’t think you’re necessarily correct in your assessment of the notification process. After all, someone on this thread got an acceptance at 6:45 PM in the midst of all of the deferrals. Just sayin’…trying not to get caught up in your negativity

i got the deferr letter but in my credentials i don’t have 7th semester grades…but on the it say that i should tell my counselor to send them… what does that mean?
