@nspire25 thats just a rumor…why would they send everything out in a matter of 3 days…i think the decisions will continue to be rolling until the 23.

@tina9294 I’d hope so, but what i heard was that the 23rd was the day that some people that got deferred got accepted again. ANd UMich said that they’d send out decisions on “friday, saturday, and monday”

ok ,honestly, shutup with the good deferred email and bad one…we r all deferred…we are in the same category…some will have to send in grades…some will not…it doesnt mean anything so suck it up we are in the same boat

Last year, I admitted that the admissions office screwed up. However, this year, I am impressed with its approach. Applicants who choose Michigan as their safety are out of touch with current reality. Even near-perfect applicants should approach Michigan as a “safe match”.

Also, any experienced admissions officers at any university can easily sense when an applicant does not give the university the respect it deserves. Michigan is Michigan. It was considered one of the top 5 universities in the nation from 1850-1970. In the last 40 years, other universities have caught up, but Michigan has not lost ground. It remains one of the top 15 universities in the nation. Those who give Michigan the respect it deserves should not be surprised if they are deferred and those who do not give Michigan the respect it deserves will be treated with reciprocity.

Still waiting…

urgh deferred …

@bigeast24881 mind me asking about your username? haha. Big East? O.O :D

didnt know profanity was a big deal

Purely curious… Is everyone (including those deferred & unknown) able to access the Parent/Family Authorization tab? To my knowledge, nobody has had their application status, credentials, or any aspect of their Wolverine Access page modified based on acceptance. Might there be any way to tell your status based on accessible parts of the website?

this is getting annoying. I am pretty sure most of us here got deferred or rejected. The way they sent these emails is really obnoxious. At least try to make it arbitrary.

Me too oscarboy. If I make it through today, I think there’ll be more waves of acceptances until the 23rd.

Did anyone deferred from LSA get the so called “good” deferral?

Stilll waiting>>>>■■■

i dont really see why so many really qualified people got deferred
if anything this lowers the chances of the huge number of deferrals attending if they get accepted

a little late to the party, but I was admitted to Engineering from Maryland yesterday.

@jawbreaker. We have to stay positive…they can’t be this obvious and just send out deferrals and rejections now. Maybe Monday will be a new wave of acceptances. It’s been a long day!
Good luck!

Still no email, wolverine still works…in NY. Already accepted to Ohio State, Drexel and Fordham, so what will be will be. But it is tough to wait when so many people have heard already.

Still no word yet. I am pretty sure that with my decent stats that I won’t be outright rejected…I guess there’ll be a second batch after Monday?

nspire25 – it actually holds a very special and invaluable meaning for me. about someone who i love a lot and keep very dearly stored in the deepest recesses of my heart. the numbers stand for the day when that person was born into this world. i usually try to incorporate it in some way or another into all usernames that i use. ^_____^

lol. is it not what you expected it to mean? xD

Does anyone know if most applicants get deferred?
