<p>I applied SMTD/LSA and I have not heard back yet. Well, I heard from SMTD saying my grades were good enough to audition, but that’s not saying much. =P</p>

one of my friends, whom i’ve been waiting with together this whole entire day to hear back from umich just told me he got ACCEPTED!!!
also, a lot of ppl from our school already got their acceptances yesterday. me and him are the only ones left. he said the timestamp was at 3:00pm but he’s definitely been checking the whole day and only received it at 5:00pm.
omg!!! THERE ARE ACCEPTANCES!!! alright everyone, let’s sit tight and try to relax.</p>

<p>can someone explain to me why a school that got nearly 25,000 EA applicants who they reviewed in 5-6 weeks, who CLEARLY didn’t read 75,000 essays (3 each), defers someone with a 3.8 UW gpa 3.9 W gpa and a 2160 sat, but accepts someone with a 3.5 UW gpa and a 1900 sat?
besides connections, someone please give me one logical answer.</p>
