Official ED Decision

The key to getting accepted into U-Va seems to be actually living in Virginia.

Ever since I visited U-Va for a summer program last summer, I fell in love with it right away. First off, the campus is breath-taking. It’s mixture of passionate history and aggressive modernism has created an atmosphere that is incredibly unique. It has a liberal arts school feel, while still maintaining the size of a public university. Great athletic programs stand side-by-side with amazing academic prgrams. U-Va is the best of both worlds, in every case.

I am an out-of-state junior male, and I will be applying to U-Va ED next fall. I have a good GPA (3.8 unweighted, 4.2 weighted), solid SAT scores (750 CR, 560 M (will be retaking at least once more) 690 W), and a top 10% class rank, and I am terrified that I will not be making it into U-Va.

From the looks of it, U-Va looks with great favor upon those who reside in-state.

Congratulations to all.
