johnson 181 i’m from Jersey… yea i dont think 218 is high enough =/

godofrice- the score from last year would have had to drop at least 5 points…
I highly doubt it.

I think I can confirm the TX cutoff. I talked to someone else today and they also said it was 215.

Hm. Not much of a chance for a 212 from Minnesota, is there? That sucks. I should have done better, oh well.

mkcooper52 I’d love to know that ID cutoff number too…no word from my school yet

Does anyone know what the cutoff is for Maryland?

We have not yet heard any of the results here in Washington State. My S - who scored a 219 - is going to ask his counselor tomorrow about it. I’ve had my fingers crossed that with the slightly lower numbers coming in across the country that his score, which would have qualified last year, will be above the cutoff.

Hi. If anyone finds out the cutoff for West Virginia please post it. Our counselors are SO unhelpful I’ll be surprised if we find out in time to complete the paperwork for finalist. I asked her today and she curtly said "I received it, but we are not allowed to disclose the data until September 12, SO I WILL NOT EVEN OPEN IT UNTIL THEN. Don’t you think in a school that has 0-1 semi per year that a guidance counselor would at least be curious?

Anyway, congrats to all of you who are in. The rest of us will just have to wait 2 1/2 more weeks, I guess.

Anyone have Michigan’s? Thanks. I hope 210 will be good enough (98 percentile, I think 211 was 99, ugh)

Hot off the press: Colorado is less than or equal to 215.

Take these numbers with a grain of salt. There will likely be corrections along the way.

AZ <= 214
CA = 217 -2
CO <= 215
FL <= 212
IL = 213 -5 (huge drop, this is questionable)
IN <= 214
LA = 207 -2
MO <= 221
NY <=223
OH <= 211
OK = 207 -1
TX = 215 -2

Link to a list of previous years’ cutoffs (beware, there are errors and missing updates on it):

So, Sept. 12th is the day that the semi’s are “officially” supposed to be announced?

I’m sure my son’s school will play it by the book. : )

Just got word that I got semi as a 219 in NY

NY<=219

I know the number for CA was wrong – since S had a 218 and missed the cutoff by one point. Still can’t figure out how Cali jumped so high in one year.

Burnthis, I’m confused.

Was your son a senior LAST year (Class of '07) when the cut-off for semifinalists in CA was 219?

Or are you saying that 219 – not 217 – is the cutoff for THIS year (Class of '08)?

From what I read on these boards, the cutoff for CA is 217. 219 is from last year. Someone in Irvine, CA said his counselor called him in and told him it was 217. Hopefully, that’s accurate.

CA is 217 according to my son’s school. He got in with 219.

Son got his official packet today. So in GA it is <= 222. He heard a few other scores, but I can’t vouch for the accuracy of them, so would hate to give out wrong info.

AZ <= 214
CA = 217 -2
CO <= 215
FL <= 212
GA <= 222 (sorry this isn’t much help- last yrs cut was 218)
IL = 213 -5 (huge drop, this is questionable)
IN <= 214
LA = 207 -2
MO <= 221
NY <=219
OH <= 211
OK = 207 -1
TX = 215 -2

Oh, I guess it was just that one year my son took it (for 2007) that it went up to 217. Now I get why people put -2 after the 217. Apparently it went back down again, just so he’d miss the one year his score would have qualified him! Sorry for the confusion.
