Accepted!!! Good luck everyone!

Accepted! So happy : ]

AAACCEPTED!
Is this going to turn into a stats-posting thread orrr? Cause I couldn’t find one from last year but I think it would be really useful for future generations to have one (especially with what school they got into i.e. Beinen, Medill)

@ArtofZhao
Same thing happened to me. So glad I got into UChicago, and kinda surprised with the rejection from NU.

rejected
Honestly thought I had a decent chance of getting in. Oh well. ■■■. My first rejection. And it’s from my first choice school. Not sure how to deal with it. OH WELL. URGH.

Congrats to those who got accepted though!

waitlisted :(

Accepted! Stats in other thread

CONGRATULATIONS to all who got happy news tonight. D will look forward to meeting many of you next year!! ;-D

No email has arrived in my cursed inbox, as of 1:19 AM CT. C’mon, NU–with all your resources/moniez/servers, you couldn’t get prepared for an influx of exhausted, overworked Asian kids on twenty-two shots of Five Hour Energy?! OK, definitely imagining that last part (proud Puerto Rican right hurrrr), but you get the gist.

If only proximity counted towards email delivery time… I’m literally 10 minutes from campus as I lay in bed. Well, that’s not including showering, dressing, cologne-ing, and primping, so more like an hour and a half. I’m a mess. Today’s been awful.

Check your Junk Mailbox! A lot of people found their e-mail there last year…

Could anyone check the financial aid? On the admission decision page, after I clicked Save and Next button, the next page ask you to either select yes for plan to enroll or no for not plan to enroll. How could we make this selection if we do not now the financial aid number??

Still no email!! Checked spam and everything :(

Probably means we got rejected haha. I know I’m probably not qualified enough

Add them to your contacts!

Anyone else just worried sick about Ivy Day now? :/

In the past few days, I had lost of hope of getting accepted anywhere, but I just heard from Northwestern (I fell asleep from waiting last night - I was exhausted!) and I cannot be any happier. My stats are not very high compared to people that have been rejected though ):

For reference, I will provide a summary of my stats (I hope this helps future applicants in one way or another). I’m really not special, nor do I stand out but I’m a mixture of four different cultures (continents - South America, North America, Africa and Asia), UW 3.7, 4 IB Higher Level classes (Predicted 40?), SAT 2170, SAT II Math 2 800, Chemistry 730, Spanish 800. NHS Officer, lots of community service - at least 100 from club, 150 from NHS, etc. MUN chair this year, I play tennis outside of school, Band (Clarinet - not great) at school, which requires a lot of commitment. My CommonApp essay was about my mom, and my Northwestern essay was well-researched and somewhat passionate. I’ve become more excited about Northwestern following my application… I still can’t believe I’ve been accepted.

Again, congrats to all you who got accepted, and I’m sure whoever has been waitlisted or rejected will end up in an amazing university they love.

I really like Northwestern, if only it wasn’t near somewhere I hated, Chicago city/Illinois state! I’m really surprised. My SAT score isn’t even in their league (low average score is like 2040 or something), neither are my AP scores.
