New respect for break dancing. There must be a gymnastics coach out there drooling.
We have enjoyed the break-dancing so much - even DH, with his predisposition for what he calls “real sports”. Amazing athleticism mixed with fun and attitude!
I had to google “how to spin on your head” and landed on several tutorials. Man, the strength involved! And now I know why they wear beanies and caps!
Come on USWNT!!!
Grant Fisher!!!

Apparently the limit to submit an inquiry is one minute after scores are posted, and Jordan’s coaches submitted the inquiry 4 seconds too late. The judges admitted that they entered the wrong difficulty score for her routine - there shouldn’t have had to be an inquiry at all.
What a cluster. And they shouldn’t have penalized the Romanian gymnast a penalty of .1
I just read that the Romanian federation asked if all 3 gymnasts, Chiles and the 2 Romanian athletes to share the bronze medal.
Ridiculous. 4 seconds too late!
Can’t imagine the ugliness unleashed on social media. I feel so sorry for both athletes!
In an outright judging error the judges should be reversing themselves.
What a final gold medal round for breaking! So fun!
I love Steph Curry
A-MAZING performance. And he seems to really be appreciating it
The synchronized swimming is amazing. I’d pass out holding my breath under water that long, and they perform crazy athletic moves at the same time.
And rhythmic gymnastics … so cool!!
Oh, and our hometown hurdler didn’t medal, but she ran so well, holding her own against the best international competitors.
What a great experience for her!
Two synchro swimmers are from my area. Trained at Seattle Synchro! Anyone who says synchro is not a sport is welcome to try out.
I am going to be so sad when the Olympics are over. And more productive.
I’m going to have a serious withdrawal.
The only “sport” I did in high school!
We trained HARD. Lots of laps even for synchro team members
Some of the comments directed toward Jordan Chiles on social media are horrible. She posted that she’s taking a break and staying away.
I did not realize that was 5th gold in a row in
. Yikes. It’s impressive (lots of other teams also have pro players on them, but prob not as many) but I also feel a little guilty about that!
I fell in love with track & field watching the 1968 Olympics. It’s still my favorite to watch … I have been pretty unproductive lately (due to watching the Olympics), but I am okay with that.
