Official Unofficial Class of '11 Thread

Last year we didn’t get our PSAT scores back until the way end of december, and they were mailed home.

I’m retaking the ACT again in december, is anybody else taking it then? I’m HOPING this is my last time. (I’m not planning on taking the SAT also, or any SAT II’s, bc colleges I’ll probably be looking at won’t require both, or any SAT II’s)

My mom bought me a huge princeton review book on college’s this week! yay :)

i’m hoping for psat scores soon…

i would have (barely) qualified for semifinalist last year, im hoping i didnt go down haha

I’m just accepting the fact that my PSATs were probably an epic fail. And I’m oddly okay with that.

And, I’m taking the ACT in December and starting to freak.

Let’s hope that I didn’t fail the PSAT!

I was going to take the SAT in December, but I’m thinking that I’ll take it in March instead, considering the fact that I haven’t really studied for it.

I’m taking the SAT in March, since we’re going to the drag races on the June test date. Plus, I don’t want to die in May. I’d like to keep my sanity during AP week, even though I’m only taking two. But I’ll be like going nuts, so I don’t feel like I wasted my time.

If I retake the SAT, I’ll probably take it in June as opposed to May. May is going to be a hectic month. There’s no need to add more on top of that.

EDIT: Omgosh, I was supposed to volunteer tonight! I missed it! Well, I don’t think that they would have needed me anyway.

Is anyone taking the January SATs? I feel like December is too early for me, but I can’t take them in March so I’m hoping January won’t be too soon!

Warts, I have the same SAT plan. Take them in March, retake in June if I have to.

Same here. Going in I was freaked out, but I’ve stopped caring about my score now.

I’m going to take my PSATs next year and my SATs at the end of next year.

Or should I do it the other way round? Some colleges don’t consider SATs before PSATs, is this true?

Calculus. Sucks. Ass.

How can you possibly take Calc Jr. year?

^
I took Calculus for the first time as a sophomore. A took it online; we even had an 8th grader. I like Calculus.

^^Clearly a total noob.
Even in our area we have a lot of non-math people that take honors college calculus in 8th or 9th grade.

How? What do you take in the rest of HS? Our school’s highest math class if AP Calc senior year :(

At my school, most kids take Calc senior year or stats. Actualyl, more kids take Stats. But a handful of kids in my grade are in AP Calc AB, and I think we have a BC class that’s probably like six people. But seriously, we’d think you’re nuts if you were in Calc before junior year.

I’m only in pre-calculus/trig.

I’m in pre-calc/trig too.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t plan on majoring in math haha

Same. I plan on science though. Pharmaceutical Studies, aka a horiffically hard program at Purdue. And, I’ll need to take engineering calculus. ■■■. I don’t really like math, but I don’t really dislike it either. I’m kinda on the fence about it.

That’s a bummer:/ Well, if you can tolerate it, that’s not too bad. Hopefully everything works out:)
