@egmied you have a higher gpa than the average transfer class of last year so that’s good. Your act is also great! And yea in state has a higher acceptance rate. I would think more emphasis would be placed on your personal statement. If you throughly explained why you want to specifically go to uw for forest management, why you are switching your major and leaving your current college instead of going to a university around the East coat or anywhere else, you have a good chance! Good luck.
I paid my fee and reserved my A&O spot. Can’t believe this is happening! I’m excited!
Good luck to those of you who haven’t heard yet.
To those who have been admitted -
Has anyone received their financial aid award yet? If so, how long did it take to get it since you received admission notification?
I haven’t gotten mine, but I was just admitted too. I saw on reddit that many summer admits haven’t gotten their awards yet either, so it might be awhile before we hear anything.
i’m a pre science major, the major i chose was microbio. a lot of pre science have heard back, is it maybe a bad sign i haven’t heard back yet?
My major is Computer Science, but I have not submit a departmental application, so I should be a pre-science major too. I have not receive my decision either
Has anyone gotten accepted not on a Friday? Or are decisions only coming out on Fridays at this point?
Also did anyone else also apply for Bothell or Tacoma? Have you heard back yet? The only thing I’ve gotten from Bothell was them asking for the syllabus to my Stats class I’m in now to see what the course equivalent there would be.
Seems like it’s Mondays and Fridays, with the majority on Fridays.
Hi @stassie18 I also applied to UW Bothell along with UW Seattle. I heard back from Bothell on May 19th and then UW Seattle shortly after. Did you check your application on MyUW to see if there’s any additional information they may be needing from you?
@Stassie18 I applied to Tacoma and heard from them only after they got my HS transcript. Have you sent that, because they wont review your application without it
have any pre-sci and arts major been rejected yet?
Hey, I was admitted as a freshman this year and I really wanted to go, but unfortunately made the choice to stay instate and attend UCSB due to coronavirus. UW remains my goal and I want to transfer in either as a sophomore or a junior. I understand that transfer admission from out of state 4 year institutions is competitive. So if anyone here was in a similar case as me and was accepted as a transfer this year, I would love to hear what you did to get in! In addition, I have a guaranteed transfer option for Boston U. I could care less about rankings but both Boston U and Washington have my eye. Should I give up Boston U and transfer to udub or just take the offer? Thanks!
Yes, I sent my high school transcripts and updated ones from my CC. My MyUW page just says thanks for applying and that I’ll be notified of a decision
Hi! I want to ask those of you who admit to two campus, are both two campuses show on your unofficial transcript?
My transcript was uploaded 3 hours ago and I’m able to accept the offer. Can’t believe this is happening~

Art and Science (pre-science)
@Wmd818 Hi! I applied to both UW and Boston U as a transfer this year, and I had a hard time deciding which one to commit. But I eventually chose UW and I think it all comes down to how you think you’ll fit in the school in every aspect. OOS transfer is harder than in-state but if UW is your dream school, I’d say go for it. After all there are many OOS who still get in each year and you could be one of them
I GOT INNNNN!!! I checked unofficial transcript, and it loaded around 2:00am. My application status also changed to “Congratulation” I’m intl student from WA CC, mine is pre science and I applied for biochem.
Hey everyone! Congrats to those who got in. I’m applying OOS from a school on the east coast, and I only submitted my app for general admission (no extra departmental app). I haven’t heard back yet which makes me a little anxious. Has anyone here who only applied to general admission received a decision yet?
General Admissions with no major are like the last batch of applicants they will deal with. Hopefully, it’s this week for us or next week.
