I would like to remind everyone that if they are posted decisions today it will probaby be between now and 6 pm
dun dun dunnnnnn
:)

Looks like there’s nothing tonight. Oh well…

I really think it’s lame that we, this year, seemed to be getting all these later dates compared to last year! I mean, Rice is already going to later and Duke is so far away too. LAAAAME!

nothing:( maybe tomorrow??

based on my experience last year, y’all should find out by email (i think i found out around 8pm eastern time) sometime before april first. it probably won’t appear on esther before they email you.

Do you get an email if you’re waitlisted or rejected too? Or is the email only for acceptees?

emails should go out to everyone

It appeared on esther 10 minutes before the email for early decision this year… if it helps any at all haha

Are you sure? I got my e-mail an hour after the decision was released on esther. They posted the decision on esther at around 5 PM, and I received the e-mail at 6.

Same here…

Yeah. all my friends who got in ED said the email came in later :).

looking at everyone’s stats, i think it’s really interesting how so many people who applied to a Rice also applied to WUSTL. why is that? i mean, i’m one of those people too, but i didn’t really realize there was such a big overlap; i just happened to hear about both of them…

I think both (WUSTL and Rice) share a lot of similarities and so cater to a similar population. Both are located in urban cities, have amazing pre-med and sciences programs, are highly ranked according to USNews, and in all provide an excellent undergraduate experience…

Hopefully Rice won’t be like WashU and waitlist a ridiculous amount of applicants.

who applied to RICE, WUSTL and Chicago? I did. 2 waitlisted so far.

I applied to those three schools too! one admission one rejection so far.

@ Jamiecago: So did I!..one waitlist one rejection so far.

My son didn’t apply to Chicago, but he did get waitlisted at WUStL.

The reason he applied to both was for the similarities - smart kids, emphasis on undergrad education, happy kids… We didn’t realize they were need-aware. :P

I was waitlisted at Chicago but didn’t apply to Wash U. Just didn’t appeal to me, I suppose.

Jamiecago
same! 2 waitlists ):
