Ohio State University Early Action For Fall 2024 Admission

Congrats. You accepting?

My children’s school does not rank, offer a weighted GPA or offer any AP tests. He did receive a Maximus scholarship, probably from SAT score.

Not sure. Fortunately, D has some great choices for Nursing, so it’s a processšŸ˜€

My son’s National Buckeye scholarship letter came today and was dated Feb 20th.

Any students from outside US received scholarship as domestic students, my D haven’t received any letter checking everyday our mailbox.

I was hoping someone could help me with housing questions. My son is accepted at OSU - Columbus and still waiting on a couple of other colleges. We are visiting OSU campus the end of March. If he waits till mid to end of March to accept OSU, will he miss out on anything for housing? What should we do? For housing do you just get to choose location and preferences or do you get to choose your dorm also? Where would my son want to live on campus for Fishers business?

Is The Morrill Scholarship Program decision out yet?

Morrill has been notifying recipients since mid-January. Appears notifications come by email (personal email, not Ohio State email) every other Friday evening. If that pattern keeps up, dates that students may still get notification are Fridays March 1, March 15, and March 29. Everyone who applied should hear either way though by March 31.

Has anyone in this forum received the Morrill Scholarship? I don’t remember seeing anything.

@Ae1231 Did you receive notification of both scholarships in one letter or did they come separately? Thank you!

Both in one letter.

@Ae1231 have you already accepted admission? I’m asking as my daughter’s stats, and EC is above the criteria; however, she was awarded the National Buckeye but not a Maximus/Provost merit award. Trying to make sense of it all. Thank you for your help

No. I probably won’t be going to OSU. But the provost was only 1,000 over 4 years so it should not make much difference

Maximus is $3k/yr and Provost is $2k/yr

@jaysmom1 yes, I’m aware of the scholarship amounts. Just not clear why my daughter didn’t receive one. Her stats are above the criteria, and her ECs are solid. Anyway, now we wait for FAFSA…

is there a place in the portal to see if you have been awarded merit? or does it come in the mail and then not show anywhere electronically?

I’ll check again when my son gets home today, but we checked the day the letter came (Monday) and yesterday and there was no indication in the portal that he had been awarded the scholarship.

Did anyone get a 2nd merit letter in the mail today or yesterday? I saw that we are getting a letter from Ohio State today where on the outside of the envelope, it notes ā€œimportant merit scholarship information.ā€ However, we already received a scholarship and didn’t apply to any others (Morill, Stamps, etc.)

For me it only came in the mail. It wasn’t online.

ok, thanks. Anyone get merit who has been Test Optional?
