Oklahoma teens murder out of boredom

Nice way to bring politics into the discussion. Some of you will always find a way, won’t you?

I wasn’t surprised  (see your 2nd point)

I think expressing condolences would be the right thing to do.

sorry sally if you don’t see or care to see the media bias. I only brought up the obvious… Of course, you had no problem talking about race in the Martin case, now did you?

agree Jonri, and even after I posted the Time piece demonstrating an involved father, Razor simply shifted back to the mother bashing, which is again, without merit in this case.

There is no evidence that the OK kids targeted the Australian student because of his race. They admitted that they “just wanted to kill someone.” On the other hand, there is ample evidence that George Zimmerman targeted Trayvon Martin because he looked like all the other “f-ing punks” who had been burglarizing the subdivision and who “always get away.” He said so himself.

lindz, it’s no use. They can’t maintain their bias or stand firmly behind their talking points once facts get in their way. Therefore, the only solution is to ignore the facts and pretend they don’t exist.

Right, right.

Anything more though, and I think he’ll have to hand it off to the vice-president.

Do we really think we know what happened in Oklahoma or why? The very next day? I certainly don’t think so and it is entirely possible it could be gang related.

We don’t know, and it will likely take time to find out. Look at all the weirdness happening with the Hannah Anderson case.

My heart breaks for the student’s family. But it also breaks for the families of the boys involved in the shooting. What mother or father could live with the knowledge that their child had taken another life for no reason?

Good points about the differences in this tragedy compared to the last one but there seems to be the assumption on the part of some that race hadn’t absolutely nothing to do with it.

This is known for a fact, at this time?

Late and cross-posted.

yup…Z hated blacks so much that he took one to his prom…there was zero evidence of race in that case…he looked like a punk is not racial…Typical though that some won’t touch the racial angle when the roles are reversed.

Right? What on earth is going on there. It is much too confusing for me.

I suspect that at least one of the mothers will never believe that it is true and, therefore, won’t have to live with it. It would be horrible to have my child do such a thing, but not even in the same ballpark as having it done to him. It is just so very, very sad.

completely agree Sally…

really strange and sad to me this instant assumption that somehow a single mother is at the root of this horrific violence. mother issues anyone?

One mother is already denying her son was there…I have little sympathy for these animal’s parents…all the sympathy in the world for the 22 year old killed because some animals were bored.

They should be charged as adults and put to death. Something seriously wrong with culture in America. I almost think you have to start holding the parents accountable on some level. How else can you expect the change from where it needs to happen if that party is never held responsible?

ZM: Well, she will have to live with it once she starts dealing with the legal system on behalf of her son, if she hasn’t already. They all seem to be in shock right now. If it were any of our kids we would react the same way–“my Johnny could never do such a thing!” And we would defend their innocence until we had all the answers.

As for the HA case, I don’t know. It has had a lot of fishy aspects all the way through.

^ raiders…I agree…this country is screwed up…kids in Seattle sitting around smoking weed in the park and cops don’t(can’t) do a thing. You hear these kids interviewed and it’s just sad…wasting their lives, should be out doing something productive…but hey, it’s legal, it must be OK…what a waste.

geeps, do your kids ever sit around doing nothing? Are they productively engaged at every minute of every hour of every day? Also, do you have any idea how hard it is for teens to find jobs right now?

^ lol…so better off sitting in a park smoking weed?..too funny
