When a skater’s choreography perfectly matches the music, it adds so much to the skating. Rippon has that with his performance.
So I have a question about the skaters in the team competition. When the skaters in the team competition (like Rippon) later compete for medals in the individual events, will they skate the same program, or do they have to skate a whole new routine?
Adam Rippon was great! Very happy to see him make it to the Olympics after all his years of skating!

Except, I think, Rippon will add a quad in his individual long program. He said he subbed a triple in the team final to be sure he’d skate a clean program.
Gotta say, the 17 year old snowboarder looked a little shellshocked during the anthem. And I missed it – what is that thing he was holding up next to his medal?
I honestly thought Rippon was the winner.
Red was so cute on the medal stand. A dream beyond dreams to win at 17.
So now I wonder when the women’s snow board trials will be.
Adam Rippon got robbed. His artistic expression was wonderful, it was a stunning performance. Far better than the Russian skater’s artistic program
Rippon certainly should have had higher artistic marks.
Wow–the American woman skater, Nagasu. nailed it in the Ladies Free skate!! Her performance was amazing. She’s the first American to do a triple axel at the Olympics–quoting Tara here.
What was that on Nagusu’s inner thighs? K tape? I found it distracting.
Looked like a tattoo to me–but I’m not sure.

The women skaters were all amazing!
When I first saw it I thought it was a tatt but def K tape.
I think the Canadians may have clinched gold even before the ice dancing, with the way the scoring happens.
I really enjoyed the Italian couple. Orginal, graceful. Nice to not see a sequin explosion in the outfits.
I loved the Italian ice dancing team , with the music from Life Is Beautiful. I had chills!
