Orange is the New Black--full season 2 WITH spoilers

For any fans of “The Wire”, Pornstache (Pablo Schreiber) played Nick Sobotka in Season 2.

He also played the super bad guy, William Lewis, who terrorized Liv on one of my favorite tv shows “Law & Order: SVU.”

Pizza girl
Not sure which episode you are on, but I’ve noticed that Black Cindy often wears her hair divided into two poufs( pony poufs?)
Taystee is friends with Poussey, and she gave the heroin to Nicky. She also has been wearing her hair in corn rows.
Taytee also gets more screen time.

And if I am not mistaken, Pablo Schreiber is Liev’s brother.

I need to go back and rewatch The Wire. I think I missed some of it or watched it in the wrong order, because I was taking the dvds out of the library.

BTW, did we ever find out what Poussey is in for?

Those who enjoy OITNB may be interested in reading a collection of women’s autobiographical stories edited by Wally Lamb, who taught in a CT women’s prison: Couldn’t Keep It To Myself. It’s really good. Very illuminating.

I’m on vacation in NYC and I was genuinely disappointed that I couldn’t watch orange is the new black for the few days I’m here, I’m too obsessed

But am I the only one who doesn’t HATE Larry??? everybody I know despises him and I obviously see all the mistakes he made but he’s human and life is tough I don’t blame him too much idk is it just me

Larry just seems like a really weak person to me and I think Piper called it when she said he was the moon. I am glad that Vee is gone. She needed to go by the end of the season. I was very glad her “family” turned on her.

We finally made it to the Season 2 finale last night - so satisfying!!! How long until Season 3? I might not make it!

I not only dislike Larry, but I also am not enamored of Jason Biggs.
Really Jason? I think Pornstache is in better shape than you.

<a href=“Jason Biggs slams former co-star Tara Reid: 'No one knows what's going on with Tara's body' ”>Gossip: Celebrity & Hollywood Gossip News - New York Daily News;

Double post

I like Larry and Piper just fine. I think it’s kind of the “cool kid thing” on OITNB board to say you dislike Piper because she’s white and upper middle class and therefore just soooooooo boring, but her character development is outstanding and Taylor Schilling is just as gifted of an actress (IMO) as some of the other actresses (the ones who play Pennsatucky, Morello, and Crazy Eyes are the other 3 that I think are really outstanding, though all of the acting on the show is very good IMO).

I abhor nebbishy men. Larry fits the description pretty well. Although so much so, I wonder what Piper ever saw in him.

I saw an interview with the author, and she is quite pretty.

(the ones who play Pennsatucky, Morello, and Crazy Eyes are the other 3 that I think are really outstanding, though all of the acting on the show is very good IMO).

After watching the finale last night, we felt like everyone got what they deserved, except Crazy Eyes. The episode ends with her sobbing like her heart is breaking after being betrayed & abandoned by Vee. We consoled ourselves with the thought that maybe she’d get an Emmy!

Yes, I’m sure they cast Taylor Schilling because in part she resembles Piper Kerman - tall, blonde, classic WASP looking.

In addition to the Morello break-in backstory which I watched several times, I was also oddly fascinated by the scene at the end in which “current Rosa” (having hit Vee) drives away laughing and then morphs into the younger version of herself. There’s just something about that morphing that was intriguing to me. I will say, though, I had always thought Rosa was Eastern European until the backstory of the bank robbing in which it was evident she was speaking Spanish. It seems like there was an accent miss there somewhere.

I too love so many of these characters. I binged on this season a couple of weekends ago. Easy to get lost in it. I liked that I had one dimensional opinions on many of these women then started caring about so many of them after watching the back stories. Vee was the only one who was evil IMO. The ending was satisfying.

I admire the mind(s) that can create those backstories. I’m still dying to know the backstory for Big Boo. Apparently the actress who plays her is a well known comedian who focuses on LGBT issues. It takes guts to outfit yourself like that!

Also, what is the backstory for Nicky? I know that she came from a well-to-do home and was a drug user, and has mother issues, but I feel like I have an incomplete sense.

I also didnt get a latina vibe from Rosa, for one she stood apart from the other women.
Crazy Eyes is the one I liked the best right off the bat along with Sophia.
I just learned Taryn Manning is a cousin of Peyton & Eli.
I dont think they have really fleshed out Nickys backstory as much as some of the others.
I also just learned Taylor Schilling was in Argo.

I think that Miss Rosa’s first dead boyfriend was named Paolo, which seems to frequently be an Italian or Portugese name.

Not that she had to share his ethnicity, of course.

Just finished season #2. The series really sucks you right in, doesn’t it? Spoiler: Having heard that something major happened with V at the end, and with all the ominous foreshadowing, I was thinking she was going to be the cause of mass destruction as opposed to becoming a target of revenge. Do we know 100% if she’s dead or alive?

The show is incredibly well acted, including, IMO, the Piper character in all of her complexities. I don’t know if anyone will agree, but some of the characters (Pennsautucky for example) seemed a lot more rough in season one, while season two felt like they were filtered a bit for the benefit of the primetime, mainstream demographic.

I also loved the Morello backstory. The actress who plays this part gives a wonderful performance, as do all of the cast in every episode.

Bennett going in to Caputo to confess his paternity of Daya’s baby was an interesting twist. Here is Caputo, with all of his idealism, which goes right out the window on day 2!
