<p>I only heard excerpts on NPR. Does anyone have the full text?
I’m pretty sure she wants to be cryptic though. A large part of the reason she’s resigning is probably to prepare for the 2010 election. She probably doesn’t want to directly state that.</p>

<p>Is being the governor of Alaska that big of a job? Did GW or Clinton resign from their governor roles before they ran? Maybe she was about to get caught in a scandal.</p>

<p>That’s not good for Palin. Reagan’s political image was extremely well-crafted. His crew knows a thing or two about presenting yourself to the American people.</p>

<p>^*2012. And I agree. From Yahoo News, “She’s looking forward to serving the public outside the governor’s chair” is what Palin’s spokesman David Murrow stated. </p>

Mitt Romney chose not to seek another term as he geared up for an unsuccessful 2008 presidential bid. Minnesota Gov. <p>Oops. I meant 2012. I actually just typed 2010 again then. It’s my graduation year, so I guess I’m used to typing it.</p>

<p>I don’t see how this is a good move if she wants to run for pres. Especially with such a bad explanation. I think resigning in general looks sort of bad. Maybe she should have just said she was resigning to deal with her son? Or some better reason. I don’t know much about Alaskan politics so that’s the only excuse of which I can think.</p>

<p>The whole speech was totally disorganized I couldn’t understand much of what she was saying. Either way, if she’s planning on running for 2012 i’m not sure this is the best move.</p>

<p>I. patting herself and Alaskans on the back</p>

<p>II. complain about the liberal media and activist judges (I have no idea what this has to do with her resignation)</p>

<p>III. spin her resignation as looking out for the state budget</p>

<p>In part III she strongly hints at running for president.</p>
