Thank you Shaw for your kind words. I just really try to carry on.
Shaw D will make a wonderful NP. I am looking forward to seeing what she will do. I am sure she will help many people.
It was nice to see you. I was talking to my H. about how strange but un-strange it all is. I would have had no trouble talking to you about a number of things. As in the conversation would not have been one that people usually have when just meeting them. You wife is lovely and warm. This is the funniest one I have ever heard about how lives intersect as I also know your SIL from another way totally separate from you. Life is interesting.
It does make you understand how people get sucked in on line however. People , especially lonely ones who get taken by on line predators.
I was up early this morning to cook. I was making sangria at 7 am. A couple of tastes at that hour really made me feel loopy. I came into work at about 10:30 and will leave at around 3:30 (wanted to take the whole day off) to pick up my mom and sister from the airport. And then it will begin.
Sure everything will be lovely MP. Have a FANTASTIC time.
Best wishes to all, mp! I will be thinking of you and your family this weekend.
Try to enjoy! It will be lovely and the bride and groom will be thrilled with everything!
Best wishes for the entire weekend, mp. Don’t sweat the small stuff, and enjoy! I’m sure I enjoyed my daughter’s wedding more than my own. Hope your son’s is wonderful in every way.
Y’all are so sweet!
Have a lovely time, MP. Best wishes for great weather and no drama.
Missypie, mazel tov and may you have a wonderful weekend, filled with love and joy!
Cheers, missy, to a fab time.
We here in the cyber crowd think you should webcast the affair
Best wishes, mp. How exciting!
Missypie, wishing you and the bride and groom a wonderful weekend! Hope you can hit pause and enjoy a few moments!
Best wishes to the pie family for a wonderful weekend!
Best wishes MP
Good morning all! Patting myself on the back for my ingenious morning -of -wedding planning. No relatives or company at the house. Everyone know they are on their own for lunch. I am spending a lovely hour outside by the pool. (Perfect weather!)
Please send prayers, thoughts and mojo to Son, a young man on the autism spectrum who cannot avoid being the center of attention today.
All the good thoughts, MP. I hope you make some wonderful memories today.
Love the imagery of you by the pool sunning.
Good planning!
Fair dust on its way.
So my laptop bit the dust and I have been relegated to using only an iPad, so… I basically do email and check FB and Instagram (which is where my kids seem to document their lives). So… When I saw Missy’s post this morning, I had to jump back 10 or 15 pages and catch up… Yet again.
This said… Congrats MP!! It looks like they did just fine (although I did get an out loud chuckle on the marriage license last-minute, if not wonderful. I just remember how stressed things got when I wasn’t so easily convinced my the “it will be fine” when things weren’t getting done on my time frame, but then it did! So… I think Mom’s just like to worry about stuff they can legitimately worry about because all the other stuff we worry about are things we can’t always say out loud. So there’s that.
Congrats to all the graduates, DTE included!! So very proud of so many here for a host of various reasons. What does it say that the new AARP commericials about rediscovering a purpose seem targeted directly to me? Definitely something to think about. And for how much I love the nook, I really wish it were 2 hours away vs 20 (ok 16). I am in deep project mode and now feel like I am running out of time. D2’s graduation is June 4 and what makes me most happy is that both S and D1 are coming AND… Drum roll… Paid for their own tickets! They really do grow up!
We had a very nice graduation party for ShawD. Some of her friends from HS, college, and work, family friends who love her. I also invited four of the teachers I thought she really was moved by. One is no longer at the school so no way to get in touch with her. Her HS advisor planned to come but had a migraine that day. Her 5th grade teacher and her middle school french teacher did not respond. It was very nice. I told her how proud we were of her.
She decided to take the licensure exam next week – she took a review course for the 2.5 days prior to her graduation (she left the third day at noon rather than 1 to get to graduation at 1:45). The test will be in a few days.
Sounds very nice, shaw. Congratulations!
