Parents of the HS Class of 2013

Roboloto · April 23, 2013, 7:21pm

I have been away for so long! Wow…congrats to everyone for their talented childrens’ brilliant list of decisions!
Laurendog-can I bring you a Margarita? I will make it with enough gold tequila to knock you into tomorrow! And its on me. so sorry for your crummy day…

We just returned from DS informal college preview weekend and he came back completely confident in his decision. Now we look toward prom this weekend and then the graduation party…sigh. Where did the year go??

Thanks friends for adding for me!

LaurenDog - So sorry for the very bad day. I totally get you on the nope, not paying for that one. The nerve! Here’s some moonshine…it won’t fix the payment issue or the computer issue, but you won’t care! I guaran-d*mn-ty it!

pouncecat2 · April 23, 2013, 8:32pm

SomeOldGuy- Nice! Did I detect an allusion to the Tetrus Hack?

SomeOldGuy · April 23, 2013, 9:33pm

For folks having a bad day, it is time to relax on the deck and remember that “after winter must come spring.” And there are so many things for which to be thankful hereabouts.

SomeOldGuy, thanks for the music :). DH was laughing that I didn’t know the Foals…

MommyDearest - no, S13 is happy with his choice to attend Notre Dame. I’m still gonna finish the song, though… I figure we can all use some comic relief.

Good luck, Jenf921. Fingers crossed for you.

wherenext - me too - and glow gel in our big hair for when they turned the black light on!

I’ll take a Lemon Drop! Is anyone still working on scholarships? Any tips on motivation?

BerneseMtnMom2Kids2Dogs - Sorry the choice is so hard for her (and you!). Not long now…

TVenee - congrats on your Lion!! It is hard to let go of the rest of the ones you love - I even had trouble when he turned down the waitlist at my favorite! And how cool that UChi upped the aid, regardless!

EastGrad - you are so right! I’m so glad some cool kids are going to WUStL since mine isn’t one of them!

sophieandlola - congrats on scholarships and grad speech! Wow, how fun and great for him!

OH l-dog - I’m so sorry about your day :(.

well, just an update…She’s decided which college to “deposit to” but does not want to say it to anyone, because “what if I get off the waitlist at the other one…”…so, I still don’t know what shirt to buy, and I would love to add the name to the list above…but, it might change…no matter how unlikely…!!!
Sorry LaurenDog for your day…I hope it got better!!!

Hey Laurendog, dunno if your Step-D will be interested, but I just wanted to say that Pitt’s philosophy Dept. is one of the best in the world for analytic philosophy. Up there with Harvard, Princeton, Oxford, Miami, places like that.
