This is the thread where Uni indicates she is committing to MIT:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/1469480-decision-time-3.html

Reporting from the tennis match (well I got a text from my 75 year old mom who luckily is tech-savvy): They won the first set 6-1, but lost the second set in a tie-breaker, they break the tie in a super-tiebreaker and THEY WON!!! The curse has been broken. Now they play their teammates who also won for the championship. But, it doesn’t really matter because both teams will move on to CIF. I have had a stress ball in my chest ALL AFTERNOON!

Yay !
10 char…

Yay! For Tx5athome’s S!!!

DD at study session for AP I don’t know which…cuz frankly I’ve lost track.

On the grass is always greener theory…I’m sending DD13 (a beautiful beach girl) to snowy Germany while East Coast snow kids dream of California. I find it amusing that they always seem to want what they don’t have. Listening to her and her friends’ theories on snow boats is just amusing.

pouncecat2 - she will LOVE Germany. Let me know where she ends up and I can suggest an excursion to some beautiful cities across the eastern border ;)

I am kinda concerned about Unicam … I hope she’s okay. I’d love to hear how it went at Stanford admit weekend & if she finally decided MIT was “the one”.

:)

I am sure she is OK. She has other things to do now, when the emotions are over :)

side note: not sure if anyone posted this…just saw this today…

[25 universities with the best return on investment - CBS News](http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505145_162-57582235/25-universities-with-the-best-return-on-investment/)

Finally adding mine to the list! So fun seeing where everyone is going! Just got back from the academic honors banquet…such a nice evening!

esteem: yeah, I think she is on a FB for the 'deposite" school—but she claims it is mostly “informational”…I am not sure what she is looking at…or if she is looking much at all. I know the school gave her a new email address — if she’d look at that, perhaps she’d find information. I agrree, she will get excited, once she allows herself!! I would go to the school if I could!

Prom is tonight! So excited to see DS all dressed up in his tux! Hoping that the rain will stay away today!

Prom tonight too. S2 is skipping school (with most of the seniors, except his date who is such a sweet “goodie-two-shoes”.) Little does he know that I’m putting him to work cleaning out the attic!!! bwahahaha. Mom’s revenge!

Oh my, tx5, I feel for you! As a tennis mom, there have been many times I had to go sit in the car because I was too tense. I noticed a couple of years ago that my daughter played worse once I arrived at the match. So I did a “test” and went out to the car, all the while texting my husband. Sure enough, her play improved! Somehow my tension was conveyed to her on the court.

However, to give you some perspective, I have to leave the room when I’m watching a football game on TV, because I get too tense and am afraid my team will loose. Again, when I leave the room, they seem to play better!

I am loving all of the acceptances we have! Yesterday, when I was working in my garden (my thinking time), I remember that a year ago I was saying that this year we would know where our daughter was going to college.

I was not looking forward to the journey.

It was a challenging journey.

But in retrospect, now that it is over, it doesn’t seem as bad. Anyone else feel the same way???

Good morning!

So DS and his partner are league champions! We celebrated with shakes and sundaes from Sonic. This morning he got an email that he got in off of the wait-list at UCLA, but he is already set on Cal, especially with the Regents perks, so he will decline.

Flymetothemoon: Definitely they play better when I am not there, and same thing with the TV!

IB HL English papaer 2 is today, prom tomorrow ;)

DS picked up his tux and everythig else yesterday. DD’15, a budding photographer, took him outside to photograph the heck out of him :)

Just got the info from the school yesterday about the graduation night extravaganza. The busses will pick them up from school at 9 pm and they will be back at 3:30 am - school tries hard to have all the kids atend this fun, non alcoholic (
) last senior event.

How do I feel about the process? I have to say that I was not half as nervous as I have imagined myself a year ago to be…but then I have avoided this site in the fall, rememeber…
