Used a proxy to look up S’s scores. 5s in Calc BC, Physics C, and Psychology. 3 in Engish Lit. I’m so proud of him! He barely studied for them and did great. Too bad he won’t be able to use almost any of his credits since he is pre-med.

I couldn’t get in using the proxy so I tried the open door app. It worked! My S got all 4’s on his AP test. Very Happy! Thanks for the tips…

Update…My S wakes up this morning and I couldn’t wait to tell him how I was able to get in and see his AP scores and to let him know the good news…he shrugs and says " ya…I know I looked them up last night using a proxy…"
Brat! Lol…this is a first time he ever cared about his scores…I think it is a good sign…

Well, we sold our minivan today. It really felt like the end of an era. We will rarely drive around as a family of four anymore. Looking forward to the drop in our insurance bill though!

@gertrudemcfuzz, lol about the minivan. The discussion in our house is, we KEEP the (2005) minivan for 4 more years because we need it to move him in and out of dorms and apartments!

@calla1 @GertrudeMcFuzz I laughed, too, about the minivan! We just got a NEW one so we have room for college moving and now a new grandchild! :)

@calla1, we are also hoping our 100,000 mile mini van will last until we are done moving kids in and out of dorms. Now @Maryjay60 just reminded me that there could be more use down the road for a new van.

“These are the tricks people use at work to try to go to blocked web sites.”

Thanks for this enlightening comment! Thankfully work doesn’t block CC, but I am going to try this for email and FB.

Lol - if D were staying in state, we might need the van for that. But she’s going to the other coast - the van will be of no use. I guess she’ll have to put stuff in storage in the summers. She was driving the minivan to school for the past two years while DH and I commuted in our compact cars with better gas mileage - what kid doesn’t dream of having a cool minivan as their first car?!!

Just be careful @planner03 . That could be grounds for firing in some work places.

DS doesn’t seem to be in any hurry, so I think we’re just going to wait until Wednesday to get his AP scores.

Fives all around for DD and DS! (APUSH for DS, Eng. Lit and Bio for DD.) Happy day. It’s funny that I got to see the scores already, though…I’m in MN for my grandma’s funeral and so got a sneak peek.

Good morning to all!

Hope everyone had a nice, safe Fourth of July weekend.

AP scores will arrive Tuesday for my son, and I have been told that he checks them, not me. Well, he has to remember to check them! And, he needs to remember his College Board username and password! We know that he passed everything that UAH will take for credit, as we saw his academic transcript online once the scores arrived there. It’s a shame that AP stat does not receive any credit, because he is very confident that he had a great score on that exam, too. His goal is to be a National AP scholar, something his older brother achieved five years ago. If it does not happen, I do not envision him being too disappointed, but still, it’s nice to have a goal.

Meanwhile, the kid just keeps running. Logged 80 miles last week in training for the upcoming cross country season.

My running this week will include starting to pack for orientation, which is next week. Need to load the car next Monday with all the things my son will put into storage for a month. Here’s hoping it fits in the car.

I was excited that my DD is a National AP Scholar. She is less than enthused because she said it doesn’t matter because nobody looks at it. It was nice to be able to claim AP Scholar With Distinction when she was applying to colleges. She’s just happy that she won’t have to wait on anymore high school test scores!

I would love to replace our minivan, but with two kids in college 400 miles down I5, the minivan will be needed to move their stuff for a few more years.

Let me also add that sliding side doors create much easier access for the elderly parents you may soon find yourself hauling around instead of the kids!

@ordinarylives – Or maybe those sliding doors will come in handy in a few years when the kids are hauling us around.

The app worked for us. Scored 5s on all APs: Calc, Lit, Psychology and Chem. Thanks for the tip. It was nice to not have to wait for scores. I don’t think we can use the Chem credit with pre-med. I believe the med schools want the actual college class. Guess I should be reading the PreMed Boards…

My DS insists on waiting for the correct day… so tomorrow for AP scores for Vermont.
