@readingclaygirl - 2 down/ 2 to go for DS!
Today was Music Theory which can be tricky but, he thinks he did well.
Good Luck on your tests too!!
Hope you enter your next exam rested and ready, @readingclaygirl.
I really feel for you students at this time.
Thank you @bookmom7 @Waiting2exhale I only have 1, AP Lang on Wednesday. I have friends taking 3 or 4, I can only imagine the stress plus my IB friends with about a million exams!
Knock it out of the park, @readingclaygirl.
As I once heard a Dad sayto his daughter just before the kids were allowed to enter the school building outside of which we’d all been waiting when my kids were taking a big standardized test., “Have fun!” I thought that was the most stress-relieving bit of advice I’d heard. Hope all goes your way.
My S says that nobody he knows finished the Physics C Mechanics AP exam. He ran out of time and jotted only an equation for the third FRQ (which really annoys him because he could have done it if he’d had time). He wasn’t happy at all with his time management on those though he feels really good about the multiple choice.
DD took one AP this year and finished her exam already. But we are still more than a month away from graduation.
2 more AP exams this week , Gov and Econ. DS16 and several friends will be going to movies after his exam tomorrow.
Econ is this week? Thanks for the heads up.
Tomorrow or Wednesday . I’m not sure which day.
Okay, so that must be why the house is quiet. Thanks.
I think the schedule is the same everywhere- right?
Gov tomorrow & Econ on Wednesday. (edit- macro W & micro F)
@carolinamom2boys Gov is tomorrow- at least the one the people in my school take is.(us government and politics) @Waiting2exhale a quick google search shows macroeconomics is Wednesday afternoon and microeconomics is Friday morning
D received her college email account today and now is attempting to move all her google docs from her high school account over to the new one. She’s been advised by teachers and graduates from her high school that her school work will come in quite handy in college.
@Undercovermom1 New at this. Why is the HS schoolwork helpful to have at college?
@dyiu13 D’s high school is a humanities program, heavy on writing. Past students from her high school have said that there tends to be an overlap in some of the subject matter in college (art history, philosophy, social institutions and literature) and it has been helpful for them to look back on their essays, papers and notes.
@Undercovermom1 isn’t Google docs a great thing? D has her own account where she stores much of her school work, then keeps a copy of what she sends to teachers. It’s been so helpful as she tweaked essays for college or scholarship apps. Imagine lugging all of our papers to college with us in big file boxes?
I have a double ear infection:( and an AP exam tomorrow. I’m home from school, going to rest and then power through tomorrow.
Feel better @readingclaygirl . Are you on meds?
@carolinamom2boys Yep, as soon as my dad gets back from the pharmacy. The really annoying thing is we went to walk in hours at the pedatricians and the NP said my ears looked fine with a 2 second glance. Turns out they are actually quite full of fluid.
What is the name of that legal medical form that allows parents to discuss medical issues for college students and how do you get one? Apparently even minors are considered adults for medical reasons when they are in college. At least at our school.
