@Cheeringsection, it’s amazing what we moms get excited about. Yay!
@PAO2008, hugs. I know it can drive us planners crazy, but I think my son would be happy with a comforter, pillow and sheet set, a bath towel or two, enough clothes for a few weeks and his guitar and laptop.
If nothing else, there will be stores there right, or he can order things he might need with Amazon prime?
@Ballerina016 I’m really glad my college doesn’t have that. We don’t even have a pool! I would probably get medically excused as I have from swimming in gym class due to ear problems.
The only college-related thing S hasn’t taken care of himself is the Menengitis vaccine. He let us know that we needed to have the records sent from his old pediatrician to the gp he sees now.
D got an email today that the positions for the leadership conference are all filled (unfortunately, her portal wasn’t live until yesterday, so she had no way of knowing). But the director of the program told her that she will have other opportunities coming up and will be sure to let D know about them.
She started packing today and we decided to use space bags to make everything fit in the luggage more easily. So far she has packed 2 skirts, two sweaters and a blazer. I think she’ll need a few more things. No word on the internship fiasco, but I don’t expect we will hear anything until the end of the week at least.
Multiple things @Waiting2exhale Waiting backstage getting ready to process and hearing Pomp and Circumstance, the Saluatorian’s speech- it was really good and heartfelt, and getting the diploma cover shaking the BOE person’s hand.
Congratulations @readingclaygirl; I have been thinking about you!
@dyiu13 - for many many years I too have read it, “Let the wild rumpus begin” even though Sendak (?) has “Let the wild rumpus start” - which absolutely does not sound as good. I’m so relieved to be validated by a CC friend! (I also edited “Who am I? My name is Ish” to “Who am I? Call me Ish” - and “All girls who love to brush and comb” to “All those who love to brush and comb” in another childhood favorite…) Rather loose and free with the red pen, I am!
