@texaspg - that is very helpful to know!! Princeton gave us a ādoableā offer. DS just got a LL from Yale, but I had figured Y was known for being stingier than P. If DS loves his visit at YES-W, do you think Y would match P? Iām still betting that P will remain his first choice, but who can tell with this crazy process! And donāt worry, we are 100% grateful even to have the options and be in this position!!! The system is so very random.

@fretfulmother we have a simple financial situation too and it took us longer to do our taxes than to do the FAFSA. But MAN, was it annoying!

I had filled in most of FAFSA & CSS but, need to review 1 more time before we hit the submit button. Not in much of a rush as our EFC is something more than we would consider forking over & DS has accepted our frugalness.

@fretfulmother yes Yale should match Princetonās offer and vice versa. Dartmouth will also offer to match an offer from another Ivy.

If there was an acceptance I was clueless about congrats @fretfulmother ! <:-P
D has today off and just called meāher #1 choice emailed her and she is ACCEPTED1! I havenāt mentioned names much on this forum but her top choice has been the same school all along-itās Fisk University in Nashville. The actual paperwork has not yet arrived so we will still need to see if any merit (there should be some) and/or FA (also should be some) comes through. Her second choice, Hampton, in VA has already accepted her with what amounts to a full R & B scholarship. If we can get close to that at Fisk, D is a go.
That makes 8 for 8 acceptances, with two left to go, but I think it no longer matters what they say. They were both last-minute add-ons. The only thing that might upset the order now is a full ride at one of her other top choices. But those are hard to come by. Iām so glad the waiting on Fisk is OVER.
@sseamom Congrats to your D on the acceptance to Fisk! Nashville is a beautiful city and a wonderful location to go to school.

Fisk is a great school and so is Hampton. I have friends who attended both and had great experiences. Congratulations!
