The only observation my DD shared with me was that sciency girls and political science boys don’t mix well. Whatever it means.
My daughter has had interest in boys, does not show it so they would never know. She had one boyfriend if you can call it that - glad that is over. All in due time I am sure.
I always read it as “Ms. Tomper” too! Lol.
D has dated, but dating is not the same as “going out” apparently, and it’s usually older boys or someone not in her own class/school. And THREE of them this past Christmas break all asked her if she would be willing to date them again, saying that they’ve never gotten over her. Must have been something in the water that week.
I didn’t date much in HS-I was quiet, shy and studious, but I hung out with my year-younger sister, who was loud, fun, and all around more popular. She got the dates, I got to drive, lol. Seriously, though. I bloomed in college, and told D that it’s likely she’ll find her people there too.
@Ballerina016 wonder how that works for a math/science boy with a strong interest in political science like mine.
DD just got into Cal Poly SLO as a Computer Science major.
@LKnomad I think the major reason for that statement was the way political science boys argue during debate competitions and in real life. My DD tends to describe everything in computer science terms. She said they argue in an infinite loop.

Almost makes me with S had applied to SLO. It is a biggie at his high school with them even taking a group of students each year on a tour. My son passed. Oh well.
