@Mysonsdad it looks like D was accepted to the CHP at UCI but she didn’t get Regents as far as I can tell.

If anyone has a current copy of the Fiske Guide would you be willing to look up what Fiske has to say about Marquette, particularly with an eye to workload/academic difficulty and PM me?
I have not been able to get my hands on a copy from the local library.

@Mysonsdad I believe all the early UCI acceptances are CHP, but only some were awarded Regents. For your students who are wondering, the Regent’s Scholar banner is right above CHP, so it would be hard to miss.
D16 received a mailing from the US Marine Corp today that opened with:
“As you quickly approach the end of your high school career, you may be feeling pressure to decide what you are going to do once you graduate. If you are look to make a difference in the world, consider the path to become a US Marine.”
I said the USMC was a little tardy to the party at this point. But my husband said no they nailed their timing; because there is a pool of HS students panicking about getting in to university at this point or who failed to apply anywhere and the armed forces are looking to scoop up those kids.
Found out today I was accepted to UC Irvine with Regents’ and CHP! I only checked because I read people here were getting accepted. Didn’t get the email for some reason…
