So remember a hundred thousand messages ago, when some ambitious soul (was it you, @LKnomad? I should use the newly discovered search feature) figured out that we’d need to have 60 posts a day to catch up with the Parents of 2015 Thread…and we thought…“No Way!”

Congrats, @kittymom1102 (wowza to your kid’s stats); D and I loved Vandy and Nashville, but like your S, she cannot resist the Hub of the Universe and is going to school near Boston! Seems like you cannot lose between NEU and Vandy. Let’s meet up sometime–surely we’ll overlap on some visit or another. (I’m allergic to cats though. :slight_smile: )

So sorry to hear about your community’s loss, @4kids2graduate. That is a hard one for everyone.

I had a similar, if younger, picture in my head, and I was a little surprised! Hoping Tex will put on a big wig for us–then you can be that “that southern matronly woman.” I did always read @mstomper as M Stomper; Monsieur Stomper, s’il vous plait. Tell me you have a bit of a French flourish, Stomp, along with the tribute to the wrestling legend.

@crowlady, so funny that your S thinks he should wear the '14 tassel! And then loved hearing that this is done commonly by kids on our list, @mom23travelers. And finally, the idea to turn the 5 into a 6. How are we going to work that with a 4, @ChicagoSportsFn?

Our school tends toward APs and IBs rather than DE too. And we do promposals too, though I’ve never heard that clever term.

I think we’ve just blown someone’s cover…and it’s not @Undercovermom1! Sorry Big Apple Daddy!

@LKnomad Sure! I’d say that I’d be free anytime in March after the 15th, and I leave for Spring Break on March 30th and won’t be back until April 14th. I’m available anytime, except I’ll be at Bulldog Days April 25-27.

Happy Birthday, one day late, @readingclaygirl! You officially, legally, an adult. Congratulations!!

For all of those with the recent acceptances, thanks to everyone for sharing your good news! @frenchtoastlover - I grew up in the O.C. and remember when UCI really took off, as a campus, in the 70s. Congrats on your scholarship! Being a native Californian, now in MN for the past 20 years, so my kids are Minnesotans (or as they used to say when they were little, "we’re half Minnesotan and half Californian!), I am a little sad that our boys will not be applying to any of the UC or Cal State Schools, that educated my parents and brothers. I went to LMU but also felt like a Bruin by relation. OOS is just too expensive for us. I know it’s competitive, but it’s great to have so many wonderful public schools to apply to in CA!

I have to say that it was a little scary to have to sign my DS up for Selective Services, when we filled out the FAFSA. His registration card came in the mail this week. Hope he never has to use it. [-O<

Found out my son has already filled out his roommate survey. Thankfully there is a boy from our HS already there, so he was able to get some advice from someone already in his second year, on campus.

So happy for So Cal, to see that the Rams are coming home to L.A! :smiley:

Hey, if you coordinate a meet up, I’ll be in O.C. and L.A. for spring break from March 26 to April 3rd. Keep me posted!
