@“Pikachu’s Mom” I have an Allegheny student as well. I love the school and the atmosphere but worry about the financial issues at the school. She’s a junior now so I think she’s safe but I do like the addition of a business degree, adding popular sports teams (field hockey and men’s lax) and the more selective admission process. They got a huge boost when they made the Colleges that Change Lives list. My husband is an Allegheny grad as well and had an excellent education.

Yes, I think my D is supposed to hear from Cal Poly sometime between now and Friday. Not too optimistic.
Anyone get good news yesterday or today? It is the final two months before decisions are made. How is that possible? We have trip to NY end of March and UR admitted students day for Twin B in April.

Last 2 decisions just received. Acceptance with $36,000 from Ursinus.
Wait listed at Seattle University. She is disappointed, but thrilled with her 9 acceptances.
D19 received denial from UCONN today. She seems ok about it. We are at College of Charleston for admitted student day tomorrow. Love this city.

We targeted some colleges that accept large majority, but we weren’t sure of others.

JMU, Elon and Miami. Pretty sure she gets in JMU. Elon is a coin flip and Miami likely a denial.
This is off topic but I had to share with people I knew would understand. I’ve been really stressing about travel costs with D being so far away. We are in the Philly area and direct flights to New Orleans are limited. After watching prices climb for move in day, I was able to secure flights there with sky miles and flights home for $89/person for me and my husband. It’s such a huge relief! They were $700 round trip last week!
