Parents of the HS Class of 2020 (Part 1)

Bummer @Darcy123

Dec 12 is killing me here.

We listed it as a national award as insturcted to do so by the schools.

Is the score release date of Dec 10, 11, 12 by high school location or by where you log in from like the AP’s.

Asking for a “friend”

With you in waiting, @VickiSoCal. Ugh. I have a strong feeling S will be suffering from the high-cutoff-state blues, but we’ll see I guess.

I’ve heard the location of login is what will matter @VickiSoCal - I wasn’t really expecting our school to upload scores so was also researching for a friend

I got an email from College board saying my child’s score will be available December 12th. I am curious how someone is already got their scores.

@chitchat1234 they sent the scores to the Guidance Couselors this week. Our GC put them on Naviance.

They don’t really send them. The guidance office needs to login and do the sync to load them to Naviance, or in our case Aeries.

Some offices do this in a timely manner, some don’t.

The release dates are tied to where you take the test (including boarding schools, I believe), not where you log in.

Thanks @HarrietMWelsch I suspected as much. For AP’s my husband has a wide choice of work VPNs to choose from.

And while he doesn’t really understand me, he lets me login from them!

I hear you. Mine does NOT understand why I find it hard to wait.

Pretty sure it all rolls with the school’s CEEB code (the one your kid enters when registering to take the test).

I’m trying to paste in the CB’s map of score posting, and not making it work. Does this link open for others? https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/psat-nmsqt-psat-10/scores/getting-scores

@VickiSoCal CB is set to screen based on log on location not testing location. I n the past I used both VPN and called a friend in a diferent state and had them log on to kid’s account while I was on the phone:-)

The location of the testing and CEEB code is used for which state cut off is used.

well, our GC hasn’t uploaded the scores yet, either. But I finally found the scattergrams! Looks like more kids from our school got into UCLA with ACT of 34 than 35, weird
Btw, D’s October ACT’s weren’t listed in her account, either. I wonder if GC needs to upload them as well. any insight? Thanks!

Thanks, @3scoutsmom. I had assumed it was tied to CEEB (I posted too quickly above when I said “where you take the test”), but I guess you’ve experienced otherwise. Curious what would happen if a student was, say, abroad and tried to log in?

@typiCAmom same with D’s HS, the GC has not updated Naviance with the Oct ACT or the PSAT. The only score she has is her pre-PSAT from Sophomore year, which is kinda frustrating

Okay, I don’t know about the rest of you, but I need a good distraction.

What’s one non-academic thing about your child’s HS that you really like?

I could name lots but one of my favorites is definitely Halloween - it’s an enormous, wonderfully goofy and all-inclusive holiday.

Anybody else?

@HarrietMWelsch they wouldn’t get in until the 12th (or possibly the 13th) The CB uses the IP address to determine where you are logging in from. It’s frustrating to know that all the scores are already there but we can’t access them yet!

Yup. Super frustrating, @3scoutsmom . . . even though I know it’s likely to be meaningless for S. I’ll post when his friends who are doing SYA can access their scores - unless of course their parents log in from the States to check.

I stand corrected on the international score - per the CB web site
