Dorm shopping going slow, as she has not yet received her dorm assignment (should be on Wed) and certain dorms have full beds, others don’t have under bed space… planner mom is not loving this.
I try to pick up things when I see them. She got a Hulken bag as a gift she’ll use for laundry and countless dop kits, a jewelry box, trays, even a monogrammed umbrella! A few blankets and a Duke coffee travel mug . Using refrigerator from S24 as he’s moving to an apartment . We are recycling the mattress pad if we can but she wants a white/peach color scheme not gray an ld navy like her brother lol . I am eyeing a nice under bed storage I’ll grab as soon as I know it will fit as well as a night stand.
The good news is we will have 2-3 days most likely to move her in and shop for missing items as cheer starts a few days before official move in. I booked an air bnb so we can manage both kids, she can stay with us if the dorm is empty and we can still be there for the send off event on Saturday.
We did, however, go on a shopping spree because after 4 years of rolling out of bed to be at school by 7:15, D26 has now decided she needs something other than leggings and oversized sweatshirts to wear. Nordstrom Rack FTW. Great deals.
