I have found that if I have an account and I put an item or two in the cart and then let the site time out or I simply close out - often I will receive a text or email about it within 2-3 hoursâŠbut this is key⊠if I click on the text link or go back to the account and look at my cart and do the same thing again by not purchasing it, then within 24 hours I will receive a discount/coupon offer.
Had it happen on Eddie Bauer, LL Bean, Famous Smokes (Cigars), Tommy Bahama etc. Multiple times now - itâs probably because they use a similar customer profiling software package etc.

Itâs been quite a week for us! Last Friday D26 got âdeferredâ (asked for mid-year grades) from one of her top choices, which wasnât completely unexpected, but she was obviously disappointed. I was able to remind her that her mid-year grades are good enough where theyâll only help her, so sheâs more at peace with it, just annoyed that sheâll have to wait until April to hear. This morning we got woken up to the news that it was a snow day (Upstate NYâŠbrrrr), and she got into another one of her top choices! Not a super prestigious school or anything.. but the first school we visited, and the first school she fell in love with. Now weâre mostly just waiting for Penn StateâŠbut with our luck that may be a deferral as well. Alas, we wait!

Definitely not a rejection, but I know stings badly. I hope she has time to process and then determine her path moving forward. And I hope has fun at the track meet!
Iâm sorryâitâs not a no, but not the answer she was hoping for. Sleeping on it and thinking about whatâs next is a good plan. There are many places she can be happy and she has plenty of time to apply elsewhere. Hang in there!
