People who take over 6 periods: How did you do it?

Did you work out a zero period with your counsellor? Have to taken an online class?

I want to take an online course, but I’m not sure if I’m understanding this right.

You take it AT HOME, right? If not, it’d be realllly gay.

Most schools have 7 periods normally…mine did, at least.

We have seven, fifty minute classes.

We have 8 periods with bloc-days…four classes on A days, four on B days, each class 1.5 hours. It really depends on the school - since you seem stuck with 6, online or community college classes would be the way to go.

We have 4 classes for somehwre around an hour and a half. I knwo when class ends, but not when it starts, otherwise I’d figure it out.

I’ve taken extra courses online in the past. I did all my work at home. Try flvs.net

Yeah, as pansy as it sounds I don’t really have time for extra classes. Spending my 30 hrs/week on sports is too important to me.

We have three 90-minute periods a day and one 50-minute period (which we have every day), plus a 30-minute lunch in between. Basically, our classes alternate every other day… We have 7 classes total. Confusing? Perhaps, but I like it.

We only have four periods at my school. Each period is 90 minutes. Students here can take more than four if they take classes at the community college. The county has an exchange program with the CC, so they pay for students to take courses there.

Savoirfaire,

My school has the same schedule! It’s cool to “meet” someone else on the same system, since it doesn’t seem to be very common at all.

We have eight classes, but we have a rotating schedule, so we have six per day.

We have six classes each and every day…never ever changes…I’m all for a rotating or block schedule to get rid of some of the monotony…

Nine 40 minute classes a day.

we have 6 one hour classes a day. i agree littlelostflute it gets boring.

yea my school is also 6 same classes every single day…
but I took 7 classes since I’m in orchestra and it’s seventh period(meaning after schoool…)

I’m taking six classes this year though(with seventh period orchestra so I go home and come back for 7th…). beginning of this year I also took 2 college classes online, and believe me. that was reallllly reallllllly hard since I had to pace myself and study by myself for everything… almost NO help whatsoever. After the two online classes, I figured it’s totally not my style… since you don’t even get to see who your professor is… and you’re staring at your computer screen for the most of the time… etc etc. so right now I’m pretty content with my six classes;)</p>

and yea. I should really stop rambling. lol

My school is like silentsailors. 8 classes total, but don’t be fooled, I haven’t had 8 individual classes since freshman year since some classes are “blocked”. You go to all 8 classes m,t,f and then you go to half on weds and half on thurs for twice as long. I like it because most of the teachers schedule projects or tests for block days and you don’t feel rushed trying to get them finished.

I gave up my social life ;)

My school has seven classes/day with any additional classes after school-one can theoretically take nine periods of class by adding on Asian Studies and something like Jazz Band. The school does not allow more than three courses taken outside of school through the whole four years for credit (including college).

We have an 8 period day, one period is usually lunch. Sophmores and up can take zero period (7:15-8) and/or no lunch. So if you’re really crazy, you can take 9 45-min periods a day.

we have seven 45-minute periods and the lunch period is 55 minutes class time w/ a 25 minute lunch–three lunch periods. 9th grade i had 7 classes, 10th i had 8, 11th i had 8, 12th (now) i have 6th, with 1st and 5th period as my senior opens–i can leave!! its great getting to school at 8:35 instead of 7:40 and having 1 1/2 hours for lunch :)
