People who take over 6 periods: How did you do it?

We take 8 classes total. Each day, four 90 minute classes. I really like it.

well, my school allows an optional “A” period
it’s 55 minute classes each day, for all of the classes
except tuesday, where every class is 45 min

edit: so, we’re allowed 7 periods

Our school has 9 periods. First period is 75 mins and you can take 2 classes for first period and they rotate over other day. The rest of the classes are 45 mins long. We operate on a 6 day schedule too. Like todays’ schedule was: Day 5 meaning I have Psychology first period, but tomorrow Day 6 I have Economics. It’s alright I guess.

I actually have a full schedule or well the maximum amount of classes a senior can take which is not recommended by our guidance counselor and there’s only like 3 people in my grade that are doing it. Last was insane, I had like 10-11 classes, which included electives that are once a week.

well i have 6 periods but my school offers “A” period and/or Period 7. for me i have 7 classes b/c im taking a college class on campus. to survive u just have to adjust ur time and organize urself. as long as u have balance between work/ec and free time u can survive with more than 6 periods.

In my school we have 10 periods. The first one starts at 7:28. During both, my freshman and sophomore years, I had from 1st through 10th. Now I have from 1st through 7th.

It sucks. I hate seven periods, but of course I’m the one who decided not to take any easy classes ( well Spanish… ). I just stay up really late doing homework because I don’t get home from work till 9 or so.

we have 9 periods for 40 minutes…and from 1-8 i have block classes… beacuse of IB Program… I HATE BLOCK CLASSE, THEY ARE SO GAY AND TIRING…WHO HERE KNOWS WHAT I FEEL?

We have 9 40-minute periods everyday.

My school has 9 47-minute periods every day and there aren’t any lunch periods (unless you have an off period). I never realized that that was a lot.

Yeah, your school sucks. Senior year I have two lunch periods.

We have seven periods and zero hour. Each class lasts 50 minutes long, the lunch periods (4-6th) are longer.

I’m taking eight classes right now. Fun stuff.

10 41-minute periods from 8:00am to 3:30, no crazy stuff

We have 9 42 minute periods… 1 is lunch, so 8 classes a day…

I have 10 classes a day. Each are 30 mins long.

do you get anything done?

I have a hybrid 7-period schedule. On Mondays, you have all seven classes. All the other days are block scheduling.

Mondays:
Period 1-4: 45 minutes each
Period 5: 30 minutes of lunch + 60 minutes for study hall on Mondays
Directed study: study hall for 30 minutes
Period 6-7:45 minutes each

Tuesdays/Thursdays (or Wednesdays/Fridays)
Periods 1&3 (or 2&4): 90 minutes each
Period 5: Breaks down to 30 minutes of lunch + 60 minutes of class
Directed study: study hall for 45 minutes
Period 7 (or 6) – 90 minutes

If you split fifth period and directed study into their own classes, it’s more like 8 classes with a mandatory study hall.

Bleh, how does it work? The study hall helps for procrastinators. And school starts at 8:45 and ends at 3:45.

you ask how i do it?..just sleep through classes and thats how time passes away

Seven periods, 45 minutes each. How is that possible? Take a free block if your school offers it. That’s what I did. So technically, I have six classes.

No one asked how you did it.
