People who take over 6 periods: How did you do it?

Junior89 interpreted it in a different way.

My school has a 0-10 period schedule… Periods 46 minutes long. Sometimes I stay after school for some clubs so it’s like per. 11 too. But Schedules vary but being the obsessed person I am, I come early anyway to study and for morning clubs. (original Schedule 3-10, new schedule 0-10/11 (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays)

Period 0 is 7:14am-Period 10 4:22pm

In fact, several people do the same in my school. All it takes is effort and a strong will. If you want, speak to your guidance counselor for more classes (Either now or over the summer). I know kids who truly have classes 0-10 and 1-10 because they’re taking AP or Precalculas or S.O. Leaders or Math Team or blah blah blah.

We have 8 classes total, four classes on one day, and the other four the next, and just rotates like that

I wish we did that still. We did that back in elementary school and it was so much better.

Elementary school was the best…so good…we were so inocent…nothing to worry about…no anxiety of getting into college

I think what the OP was wanting to know is how you take an EXTRA class than those offered at school.

I have AP US History online. At the end of the semester, the company sends me a certificate with my grade and I give that to my counselor. He then adds the class to my transcript, with a weighted grade. It’s not a zero period or anything, it’s just an additional class. So, when I get my report card, it doesn’t show up; only on my transcript under “courses taken outside the school district.” Therefore, the class counts and boosts my GPA.

Hope that helps!
:)

P.S. - Apex Learning is also good for online classes. I’m currently using UCCP.

^One of the most helpful posts so far, thanks!

No problem. I can help with any questions you might have about online classes, etc.

im pretty insane …its not really fun either. i wouldnt recommend it

We have seven periods. My old school had 8. I’m taking 6 classes next year though, cause AP sciences are double pds.

9 periods, 41 minutes each. 5 minutes between classes.

lab periods throw scheduilng out the freakin window though.

Take Stanford EPGY

I did

It’s eh

pretty expensive

My school has possibly the strangest schedule.
We have 9 classes that alternate, on any given day we have 8 periods.
periods 4,5, and 6 are lunch periods that are always 45 minutes long. All other periods are 50 minutes and each period meets 4/5 days a week EXCEPT for 4,5, and 6 which always meet.
