<p>Nah. I don’t care about any of that stuff much. She’s in at some really good schools already. I did want her to attend the interview and get to spend a day or two at Yale, given their history. 
That’s about it. </p>

<p>Quick update–Son landed in Philly, now to get to new haven!! flight canceled, amtrak booked for 7 am tomorrow. looking for hotel. Yale accommodating. Still,… Traveling 2 days for an interview–ughh</p>
<p>OK OK, enough, u r all thinking, went thru this 2 weeks ago, & 3 weeks ago. I will keep anxiety to self, or just ignore my posts!!!</p>

<p>So my husband’s flight this evening from Newark to Chicago was cancelled, so he’s taking the train to Philadelphia to fly out tomorrow morning. What is wrong with this picture?</p>
<p>That the airport may be shut down tomorrow morning? How about going all the way to Baltimore instead?</p>
<p>Curm…I’m so glad she made it to CT. Did she bring her ARK? She sure needs it!!! It’s been raining cats and dogs here all day…it’s disgusting. I guess I shouldn’t be whining…60 miles west of my house, there is a blizzard going on!!</p>

<p>Tell Mudgette to check out Firehouse 12. It’s a neat place on Crown Street in New Haven. Great jazz groups, nice lounge area…really neat.</p>
<p>Good info. I’ll pass it along. She ate at Leon’s tonight with a cc friend from the pre-med board (bluedevilmike- she was very impressed) . I hope she can make the acquaintance of some med students Friday as she has all day Saturday to explore the campus and the surrounding haunts.</p>

New Haven’s culinary tradition also includes a claim of being the birthplace of pizza in the United States. Contentious as that claim may be (see Gennaro Lombardi), New-Haven-style pizza, called apizza (pronounced ah-BEETS in the local Italian dialect), is made in a coal- or wood-fired brick oven, and is notable for its paper-thin crust. Apizza may be Red (with a tomato-based sauce) or White (garlic and olive oil), and pies ordered “plain” are made without the otherwise customary mozzarella cheese (pronounced sca-MOTZ). Locally, the White Clam Pie is favored. Pizzerias of distinction include Sally’s Apizza and Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, both located on the same block in the Italian-American neighborhood of Wooster Square, Modern Apizza not far away on State Street, and upstart newcomer Bar, a Microbrewery located across Crown Street from Louis’ Lunch in New Haven’s “entertainment district” downtown.</p>
