Mission Beach; just south of Belmont Park. We’ve been there tons of times in the daytime, but not at sunset.

Seemed crazy/funny to me. But I just googled my area for “axe throwing” and indeed there’s more than one! Somehow I never noticed it before.

Ok @ChoatieMom . . . We are celebrating my husband’s birthday tonight

Well, there were 3 venues that popped up when I searched my phone for axe throwing. They all appear to sell alcohol. I’ve never been to any of them. One advertised it has 10 lanes for axe throwing!

Here’s our favorite artist from a local Art Walk. If we only had an extra $9000 laying around…

I’ve got a bunch of Charlevoix stones in my rock tumbler right now! We went to MI about three weeks ago and brought back a ton of rocks. When we got home I found out about half were unsuitable for tumbling and the Petoskys and Charlevoixs are difficult to tumble because they’re soft fossils.

Maybe I’ll post some pics if they turn out well.

Maybe we’ll advance to wine tasting events that feature javelin catching competitions for the patrons.

Some agate and Dalmatian stone flakes I found in the pound of small stones I got to use in rock tumbling (small stones help cushion the larger rocks).

I found zero agates during my trip to Michigan this summer so I enjoyed seeing the agate flakes although they are very tiny.

I love reading about your rock tumbling!

I have no experience with that. I take my Petoskey stones (and others from the region), rub with oil then clear coat spray. Then they go in a jar with rocks and shells from our travels.

Admittedly I’ve not researched this approach. My friend in Charlevoix introduced me to it and I’ve followed for years.

That would probably be a lot easier! I’ll try that on a few of my stones.
