We drove up highway 1 today to see the elephant seals just north of San Simeon. The third picture shows one attempting to cool down by tossing sand on their body.

I love going to the elephant seals. I go every year and I never tire of watching them. You are having great weather. We have family in Pismo and surrounding area and we joke it’s never sunny in Pismo.

Update: had a lovely chat with “Mr. Bean” who was charming. He is from Turkey. He says he has been told since childhood that he is a doppelgänger (my word, not his) and was delighted to share his photo.

I was out walking to my subway stop at around 1pm and it was snowing hard, and sticking. All melting now but kind of slushy in places.
