Here is a repeat of my first silversmithing product for comparison with my second, which I finished today. Many mistakes were made but I’m learning a lot. The stones are agate and jasper that I shaped and polished myself. I forgot to put the little silver eye on the second (although nature gave him one already!)
. I bought those tiny 1 mm discs from a silver supply company, 100 for $8. I have no idea what other people do with them as they are SO small, but they’re perfect for my bird jewelry project.
Finally a pic of one of my dogs that my daughter took. She takes these often from the same angle on the couch, lol.

In the 1630s, tulips were used as currency during “tulip mania’ in the Netherlands.
Yes, they were considered extremely valuable and expensive.

Had beautiful tulips last spring from bulbs shared by a friend.
Close to the house, in a low planter.
Unfortunately the deer (or rabbits?) must like them too.
Lasted 1 week.

At least indoors, on the table, the flowers are safe from nibbling. 
I plant tulips mixed with inedible daffodils. Deer seem to leave that melange alone.

My latest piece. I think I’m getting better although I cheated and glued the leaves on. I had no confidence in my ability to solder them on without melting something. The photos show every flaw, but it looks better in real life.
