Yay!! As long as the raccoons don’t eat them first!
Love figs. Desert King?
Hit a rooftop watering hole before going to the movies and were treated to the awesome view! The mountain was out.
We’ve never lost any to raccoons. I don’t know the varietal name, but know they were developed specifically for the PNW.
It’s weird. Some years we have an abundance; some years none. But I think DW might have it figured out.
Until we grew our own I never knew how delicious they are.
There is a photographer I follow on FB called Epic Shutter Photography and he posts many heartbreaking videos of houses being washed down, falling in Rodanthe. Just heartbreaking. Some folks were able to have their homes moved back. That must be horribly expensive. I’m not sure where he lives exactly but he posts photos from up and down the Outer Banks. My whole life it has been said the O.B. will wash away with one big hurricane, but the slow assault by the ocean has been slow torture, I guess.
Six bald eagles were dancing overhead. I was trying to take a picture of as many as possible when a helicopter flew by.
We got a kick out of these two license plates. HOT JOB and BUM DEAL. We think the drivers knew each other because they both made the same uncommon turn ahead of us.
I win the good wife award today. At the end of my 14+ hour work day - driving to a work conference - and then a side trip to Buc-ee’s to buy H some fudge and beef jerky - he calls me on the way home. He asked if I’d make a side detour to a movie theater to buy these things. Our theater doesn’t sell them. You would not believe how giddy an almost 60 year old man got looking at the preview of these things online. He called me at work to tell me about the flames that light up and the secret brick that releases the drink cup.
yes, I made fun of him, and yes, I did make the detour to buy these things for him. They are popcorn buckets, in case you couldn’t tell.
More room, sure but less ‘privacy’ for Mr. Kent???
